Yikes, these are official? Spot a misspelling in there.

Lol. Yup. Apparently, they can't spell "prestigious." I wonder how many people read it before printing these scholarships. I'm actually surprised that autocorrect didn't catch it.
Newest offer, five-star LB Caleb Kelly (Fresno, CA):
Damn, that's pretty embarrassing.
Looks like it was updated on Kelly's.
Quote from arguably the top 2018 prospect in Texas, DE Max Wright of Katy Taylor (24/7):
"I think Texas could be close to offering,” he said. “They’re probably the closest. I went to visit up there and they seem like they’re pretty close to doing so. Baylor also seems like they could as well.”

Update on 2017 RB JK Dobbins of La Grange after visiting Texas last week (OrangeBloods):
"It crossed my mind (to commit)," Dobbins said. "Texas, I love Texas. I just want to take everything slowly. It's kind of like a life or death situation. It's so important. I'm going to have to spend four years there, it can alter my future, so I just want to make sure wherever I go is the right place. I'm going to go slow."
"We got to walk around, see stuff. He showed me what it's like to be there. I talked to coach (Charlie) Strong longer. It was great. I liked it."
"(Strong) was telling me about his cores. He told me he really wants me to be at UT. I believe him."
"I'm not going to take it too long (to commit). But I don't know when I'll do it. My heart has to be set on that school."
Quotes from ATH Lil'Jordan Humphrey of Southlake Carroll after seeing UT on Saturday (OrangeBloods):
"Just talking to coach (Charlie) Strong, him breaking everything down for me," Humphrey said when asked about the highlights of the visit. "What type of players he needs for the program to be successful, how I'm that fit of player that he wants."
"I don't know if I want to play both (football and basketball) in college, so (Smart) came in and said I could both if I go to Texas," Humphrey said. "I've been thinking about (playing both sports) a lot. I don't know though. It's very difficult to do both in college, so I don't know if I want to do both yet."
"(Texas) is up there with those two (Cal and Wisconsin). I like all three," Humphrey said. "It just made my decision even harder on which school I want to go to."
Old picture I think, but Dylan Moses' father just tweeted this.
shaka makes a top 10 once again............

With all the arrest and negative news around the LSU football program, I'm thinking that that could have possibly played a part in Moses' decision to decommit. Maybe his father thinks it'll be better for him to leave home and get away from the temptations and involvements associated with staying close to home.
@Official_MalikJ: Why not ? @TheDylan1Moses http://t.co/v4pWiCSV30Gotta love Malik, he just never stops recruiting for Texas. Awesome picture!
A&M offered today.
24/7 reporting OL Ronnie Major will not be in Austin tomorrow as scheduled.
He still needs to take one last exam.
Patrick Hudson Intrigued by Longhorns? (Horns Digest)
You may not know a lot about 2016 4-star offensive lineman Patrick Hudson of Silsbee, one of the most sought-after prospects in the country.
And that’s the way Patrick Hudson prefers it.
Scout has Hudson ranked as the nation's No. 4 offensive tackle and as the No. 40 overall prospect in the 2016 class. Yet, somehow, he only has five offers listed on his profile.Doesn’t seem accurate, right? That’s because it isn’t.“I have a lot of offers,” Hudson said. “I just don’t like to tell people about it.”
Unlike many recruits, Hudson does not enjoy the attention that comes with being a top prospect.
He is a very private young man who is difficult to get on the phone. When you do get him to talk, he keeps his answers short and sweet. However, that was not the case when talking about Texas.
“I have heard from the staff a lot. I have talked with Coach (Charlie) Strong, Coach (Vance) Bedford and Coach (Joe) Wickline,” he said about his communication with the Longhorns. “They have expressed how much they want me to go to Texas. It has been great.”
Hudson verbally committed to Baylor in the summer of 2014. Many assume he is solid in his pledge to the Bears. But that may not be entirely accurate at this point.
When asked if he is still committed to Baylor, or if he has opened things up, the talented big man said, “I’m just going with the flow. You know, whatever happens.”
Hudson did not go into all the schools that have peaked his interest, but he claims Texas is high on his list of contenders.
“There are about 10 or so schools (in the mix),” Hudson said. “Texas is high on the list.”
The 4-star prospect plans to take an official visit to Austin sometime after his football season. He is also interested in visiting Alabama, but neither visit is set at this point.
At 6-5, 330-pounds, Hudson has great push and moves the line of scrimmage. What makes him truly special are his quick feet and ability to cover ground. Overall, he is the type of player the Longhorns offensive line has been lacking for many years.
With more than 20 offers extended to offensive linemen and tight ends in the 2016 class, it’s apparent Texas is searching for big, strong players up front who can dominate the line of scrimmage.
Sources have indicated Hudson is one of the top recruits the Texas coaching staff wants to sign in 2016. There is still a long road ahead in his recruitment, but it’s safe to say the Longhorns have a solid chance of making a run at the talented prospect.
Now THATS the kind of stuff I want to see. And the Dylan Moses stuff. Let's get that Dubyu in South Bend and see some of these guys raise their eyebrows even further.
Also, update on the Vegas line for the Notre Dame game:
We're 10 (!!!) point underdogs.
The line has moved since it opened from 9 which means people like Notre Dame.
I might be a big homer here, but I feel like the game is going to be really slow since both teams are somewhat inept in certain ways. I feel like we're underdogs but not 10 points. That's a lot. -5 or even -6.5 seems more appropriate. -10 is a really hefty number for teams that don't like to score touchdowns.
Scout saying CB Eric Cuffee of Waco High is on his way to campus for a visit.

There are plenty of unknowns now. Will Texas be able to sign championship-caliber recruits who operate according to Smart's principles? "If he's an ass----, we're out," Cason says of a theoretical five-star recruit who might have trouble committing to Smart's five core values. "Just plain and simple."On June 22 coveted power forward prospect P.J. Washington emerged from a large white van for a campus visit, greeted by nearly every Texas staffer. He is one of 14 top players from the classes of 2016, '17 and '18 who have come through Austin since Smart's arrival. (Another, four-star guard, Jacob Young from Houston, committed on June 30.) Smart is confident he will coach "some pretty special guys"

DE Isaiah Chambers of Aldine MacArthur talks about where things stand with UT (OrangeBloods):
"I'm going to try to work on the record. Last year I got 21 sacks. I'm trying to get 29 or more and take my team to the playoffs," Chambers said.
"When the season comes, probably in the next three or four weeks, I'll have a top five," Chambers said. "Right now it's kind of hard to say."
"I've talked to them (Texas) frequently. I haven't been yup there this summer, but I plan to go back and watch a few games," Chambers said. "I talk to coach (Chris) Vaughn, coach (Brick) Haley, and I talk to coach Strong probably once a week or once every two weeks."
"The program, the prestige," Chambers said.
"I plan to take all of them (official visits) and then possibly commit right after the season, maybe even mid-season," Chambers said. "I don't plan to take it too far."
Scout also said his father was with him.
