This was how his media availability started during the bye week last November.
Chip: Charlie, obviously, there’s some news coming out of the state of Florida. Is there any chance you would be interested in possibly being, you know, going back to Florida as head coach?
Strong: [laughs] I have a great job here, Chip. And I say this, you know, we have a lot of work to get done here. I’m very pleased with just where we are right now, and I look at our record and know we could have been a lot better. And there’s still a lot of work to get done here.
Lets see when Baylor hangs 80 on them .
OrangeBloods reporting that Texas' biggest compe ion for DE Kelvin Lucky could be UCLA and Florida.
According to his coach, he won't be going to Auburn and Alabama is not likely to offer.
Quotes from WR Davion Curtis of Temple after committing to Texas (24/7):
“I wanted to be a Longhorn for as far back as I can remember,” Curtis said. “I always dreamed of it when I played Pop Warner. My family loves Texas, so I loved Texas growing up. Making the commitment means so much to me and my family.”
“I got a chance to go in and talk to them, and they let me know that I had an offer,” Curtis said. “They told me that they want to use me a lot and that they loved my speed. I didn’t even know how to react. I was so happy. I wanted to cry.”
“I see a bright future ahead for Texas,” Curtis said. “I always wanted to be a part of the tradition at Texas. I could see myself fitting in, especially after what I saw against Kansas. I’m really excited.”
"I still need to develop a relationship with the staff and get to know them. But I like Coach Strong. He's very down to earth, and I related to him well on my visit. You could just feel his warmth. It kind of just gave me some reassurance."
"Coach Strong and Coach BJ said that they thing I will be a good fit. They want to use me a lot in their offense because they like that I bring a lot of speed. I think I can make an impact."
Scout mentioned in their recruiting chat today that Strong has no interest in going the JUCO route for a QB.
Oohhh! We need a summary! Who is the user who always summarize the chats? I enjoy reading those.
RyaNOsborneFWST: Final: Denton Guyer beats Southlake Carroll 48-35 in 6A Division II area round #txhsfb
@AnwarRichardson: Sources tell me if Miami offered Texas coach Charlie Strong a contract, he would say no https://t.co/hQb90Ob82d https://t.co/Ekqhh9dPVL

unc game day ........... recruits will most likely attend bb game similar to last year...........
btw off topic not even a month into the season & it feels like march madness
I'm really wondering if Higdon/Texas is putting this out to keep Buechele from wavering. Or maybe they want to let the next OC have input on who they target. That should be the first thing the OC wants to fix when he walks in the door.
10-1 without his guys in there, and his starter hurt. But you can't seriously be loling anyone after losing to Iowa State.
My Islanders are giving my Horns a good game...Viricek for the Islanders has a giraffe neck....damn he looks freaky.
Well, Shaka gets his first win....unfortunately it came at the expense of the Islanders. BTW, I wish they would go to TAMU-CC or Islanders on the jerseys. I also wish they would make their basketball and baseball jerseys accessible to the student body and alumni. It was not a pretty win for the Horns, but it was a win. You have to start somewhere. I think we will all be pleased by the end of the year with the Shaka hire.
^props.......... but judging on mutual match up a&m will likely win by double digits in the battle 4 atlantis tournament vs horns
ISU is stupid, don't they know they are ISU. They aren't in the city of Houston, if it were not for joining the Big 8 back about 100 years ago they would be an NAIA school.
Paul Rhodes is the best that school will ever get, oh I'm sure they can find someone who is better but the moment that coach proves he is better he is bolting for a real program. They need to know, their days of being in a major conference are numbered, as soon as the Big 12 folds, they are headed for fun with schools like Utah State and Idaho and Montana.
Per 24/7, OL Jean Delance will not be making an official visit to Michigan on Thanksgiving weekend.
The longer he puts it off the worse the weather will be when he gets there
