They had a game in 2005 where they wore throwback uniforms with no names on them (picture in link).
I don't remember an entire season, however.

Quick, and random question, can any of you guy remember which season Texas played without names on their jerseys? I'm thinking 2004, but I really have no idea.

Quick note on CB Eric Cuffee of Waco High (24/7):
“I know the Texas coaching staff, and it takes them a while to offer kids. For me to be the second defensive back that they offer, that’s just a pretty good scenario,” Cuffee said. “Coach (Vance) Bedford actually coached my cousin Perrish Cox (cornerback for the Tennessee ans). I’ve clicked with him and all of (the coaching staff).”
Per Scout, DE Mark Jackson of Cibolo Steele is another player expected on campus next week.
They also expect RB Devwah Whaley of Beaumont Central to visit "soon."
Some movement, finally!
Looks like Harsin has been recruiting this kid pretty hard. Boise already has quite a few West Mesquite guys on the roster (DSG, Miles, Butler). From how the scouts are raving over Coleman as a matchup nightmare for defenses, I'm surprised he's only a 3-star.
Quotes from S Brandon Jones of Nacogdoches (24/7):
“I tore my PCL (posterior cruciate ligament), so I’m just rehabbing. I’ve been doing it three times a week, so I feel good about it,” Jones said. “I’m getting cleared this week. I’ll be back out there for track season, so it’s nothing serious.”
“We have Texas relays down there on March 28, so I’m going to make a visit on that day and then I’m going to make another unofficial visit by myself this spring,” he said. “I did the same thing last year, and I really enjoyed it. I’m probably going to call Coach (Chris) Vaughn and try to visit before and after I run.”
“Ever since Texas offered me, I’ve been building a good relationship with the entire staff,” Jones said. “I actually talked to Coach (Charlie) Strong the other day on the phone, and we’re just continuing to build a good relationship.”
Thanks man! I just remembered watching some video where the players didn't have names on the jerseys. I guess I was wrong.
@EJHolland247: West Mesquite TE Donte Coleman (@DonTune12) has committed to Texas Tech #GunsUp
S Deontay Anderson should be with him:
Spring roster has been released. Practice starts Wednesday:

Hopefully he'll do what Darreon Jackson did last recruiting cycle, come to his senses and nope the out of that crap program in favor of a real one.![]()
Why do you say "wow"?
I can't believe CoJo has seen enough playing time or been here long enough to reach 1000.
Time flies
mostly garbage time tbh
He has been here as long as Leonard. It's a noteworthy accomplishment but not "wow" worthy impressive to me.
Well yeah, I'm not really impressed.....was just surprised he's had that much staying power
Lol i think he saw what the crap program did for Jace Amaro.
You can watch Strong's spring practice press conference here at 1 p.m.:

May be a candidate for Texas, assuming Barnes is fired:
Strong will probably mention this in his press conference, but Texas is currently sitting at 84 scholarship players (including the 2015 class).
QB Matthew Merrick could be #85 if UT can't find a transfer QB.
There are only 15 seniors.
Marshall would be dumb to take the Alabama job, tbh. He can afford to wait for the next blue-blood job to open up and still get the big bucks without going to a football school that wouldn't adequately support his program. Of course, that's assuming he isn't just as happy staying in Wichita for the long haul, which is always a possibility - after all, Few's probably never leaving Gonzaga until he retires.
