Texas is in no way a blue blood school for basketball but being the biggest and most successful in the state should make it a very good choice behind the true basketball blue bloods
Yeah, no way he goes to Bama or UT

For a lot of guys yeah. But not this guy. He's got it made in Wichita.
Texas is a great job. Expectations and pressure aren't high (at least when football is winning which you would expect it to come back soon). Also, you get high exposure, well paid and you can land blue chip prospects.
Early list of unofficial visitors for Saturday's practice (from all sites):
WR, Dee Anderson, West Mesquite
WR, Reggie Hemphill, Manvel
DE, Mark Jackson, Cibolo Steele
DE/LB, Alton Robinson, Converse Judson
LB, Dontavious Jackson, Alief Elsik
S, Deontay Anderson, Manvel
S, Brandon Jones, Nacogdoches
I am assuming Sat is the first day of practice?
Per Scout, WR DeAndre McNeal should be in town as well.
First day of pads.
Practice starts Wednesday. UT Pro Day tomorrow.
Kansas has ducked W. State for a long time.
They won't schedule them.
If he is really pissed about this, hmmmm....
Dreams of dethroning Kansas? Year after year? Possibly.
Multiple sites reporting Texas has offered TE Donte Coleman of West Mesquite.
He committed to Texas Tech this past weekend.

Quotes from LB Jeffrey McCulloch of Aldine Davis (24/7):
“I talk daily with Coach (Charlie) Strong and Coach BJ (Brian Jean-Mary), so my interest is definitely growing in Texas,” McCulloch said. “I feel like I have a good relationship with the staff. They are like father figures to me. They know how to discipline you and when to play around with you... like a son.”
“It was everything I expected it to be. They told me more about academics and what classes would be like,” McCulloch said. “They also talked to me about life after graduation, so I really liked that. I don’t think I had a favorite part, but I really enjoyed my time down there.”
Chip Brown! I forgot about him since he left OB. He does great work though.
Pretty cool note from OrangeBloods.
Ash will be throwing to Shipley, Harris and Swaim at Pro Day.
If he were healthy, he would have been worth at least 3 more wins last season IMHO.
Who knows, but Texas lost all of Ash, Sanders, Estelle, Harrison and Espinosa by the second game of the season.
You can throw Bergeron in there too even though he wasn't necessarily a starter.
That unit never even got started.
OrangeBloods saying WR Tren'Davian son of Navasota was offered by Alabama today.
2016 WR AJ Brown of Starkville (MS.) has been offered.

More from S Brandon Jones of Nacogdoches (24/7):
“My interest in Texas is really high. I have a top 10, but when I narrow it down to five, Texas will for sure be in the running,” Jones said. “I’m just waiting on a couple of other visits before I release my top five.”
“There isn’t a specific thing I want to see, but there are some new members of the coaching staff that I’m excited to meet,” Jones said. “Last time I went was during the game, so this time I want to get a more personal experience, especially since my mom is going to be with me as well.”
Per an official release from UT, the following players are going to miss spring practice:
WR Roderick Bernard (knee)
OL Darius James (knee)
DT Desmond Jackson (foot)
DT Chris Nelson (shoulder)
DE Caleb Bluiett (knee)
DE Derick Roberson (shoulder)
Not Derick Roberson! He and Heard were my favorite recruits of the 2014 class.
