Charlie has done a great job this recruiting cycle. While we will still have a formidable class, Sumlin really dropped the ball this year. He undoubtedly hurt himself when he refused to publicly address the state of the program when rumors were swirling out of control. The perception of the program really took a turn at that time thanks to the media and his inability to address things. Saying all that, when you fire your offensive coordinator and one of your best recruiters, it makes sense that you will take a hit. Especially when more offensive coaches could very well be out the door after signing day. Makes it tough to recruit with that uncertainty around.
At the end of the day though I am less concerned about where you guys finish then I am about finishing 5th in the SEC West. Anyhow, I used to love following this but man the kids these days really make it hard to enjoy. Your word means nothing anymore.

Hope they're right. I had stated before that I thought Chris Daniels would be the biggest steal if we could pull it off but I now say Hudson if we can get him. The chase for him was so left field and he seemed to visit us on a whim and for us to potentially have a shot at him is outrageous.
I know someone who works at BJ's school who keeps telling me that something super sketchy occurred on Saturday and that he would sign to Texas A&M after that. It definitely made me think that it won't happen for Texas. Hope that this person is wrong.

From the outside looking in, I thought everything fell apart when you lost two 5'star QBS. Not saying losing your OC didn't have an affect, but lets look at everything.
1. Two 5'Star QBs transferred
2. Ended the Season 8-5 after starting off 5-0.
3. Lost your bowl game to Louisville. How does an SEC school lose to Louisville?
4. Defense took a step forward, offense took two steps back
5. Your coach has become a lame duck, as the school wants to fire him but can't afford to.
6. Your top recruit from last year has become your worst recruiting nightmare as he is now negative recruiting against you.
7. You replaced your OC with a guy that couldn't get the job done at his previous school.
With all those things, you think the biggest issue was PR?
