Quotes from S DeMarkus Acy of Dallas Wilmer-Hutchins (24/7):
“Coach (Chris) Vaughn messaged me on Twitter and said Coach (Charlie) Strong was going to follow me,” Acy said. “He did and told me I had an offer. I was shocked. I couldn’t believe it was true. I’ve loved Texas since I was little.”
“Coach Strong said he likes the way I compete and how I love the game,” Acy said. “He told me he really wants me to get back to campus. He’s really straightforward. I like that he’s a defensive-minded coach. I really like him.”
“I just love the way Texas plays,” Acy said. “It’s one of my dream schools. I feel like I built chemistry with the coaches at the camp. I love Coach Vaughn, Coach Strong and Coach BJ (Brian-Jean Mary). I love the image Texas has.”
That looks like the Alamodome in the background.
There was a real youngster on campus this weekend. 2020 WR Collin Sullivan from Round Rock visited, and according to some of the youth football sites, he is one of the premier WR's for 2020. I don't know how you project players this young, but that was what I've read.

Auburn has offered 2017 QB Kellen Mond of San Antonio Reagan.

Does he realize his twitter handle is synonymous with 'bowel movement?'

Starting to love the strong 26-5A flavor of this class.
Aggsy are at the Olive Garden filling up on the bread and won't have room for the main course or dessert for that matter.
JK - Both their DE commitments are very nice, but I will be happy if Texas can land their top targets at that position.
Both Robinson and Jackson are thin for their positions but very fast and athletic. It'll be nice to see Jackson every week this season at the Steele games and that Judson/Steele game will be even more fun to watch now.

Update on DT Gerald Wilbon of Destrehan, LA after his unofficial visit to UT (24/7):
“I loved the visit,” Wilbon said. “Everything was really nice. The facilities were some of the best I’ve ever seen. My favorite part was just getting to tour the campus and see everything in person.”
“We had good meetings,” Wilbon said. “It was great to meet Coach Strong. He seems like a really cool coach and someone I would want to play for. He said he wants me to be there. I’ve known Coach Haley since he was at LSU, so we have a good relationship.”
“My interest level in Texas is very high,” Wilbon said. “The fact that it’s a major program is very appealing to me. I also love the tradition and the history of the school.”
Quotes from 2017 TE Major Tennison of Bullard after visiting Texas yesterday (24/7):
“It was really awesome,” Tennison said. “I got to look around the facilities, and they were amazing. I loved the weight room and the locker room. It was crazy to get off the truck and see everything in person.”
“I talked to Coach Traylor about high school football back home and saw some film with him,” Tennison said. “I talked to Coach Strong for 20 minutes about his core values. I liked both of them. They were extremely nice guys and definitely know their stuff.”
“I grew up loving Texas sports, from football to baseball,” Tennison said. “If they offer, there isn’t even a word to describe how excited I would be. I know Coach Strong doesn’t like to just shoot out offers, so I’m going to play my butt off this season and earn it.”
Scout reporting UT is eyeing German SF Richard Freudenberg.
He mentions he wants to study in the US and has family in Boston.
He's currently talking with Duke, St. John's, Texas and Vandy.
