He really is pretty low key about getting early commitments, maybe it's as easy as putting more emphasis on getting kids to commit if they are ready

2017 LB Loren Mondy (he is transferring to Mansfield Lake Ridge) talks about his unofficial visit to UT (24/7):
“Coach (Brian) Jean-Mary showed me around the facilities and told me about how they are building the program,” Mondy said. “He said they plan on competing for national les by 2017 and would love to have me help them.”
“He told me that he really liked me and that I was high on their board,” Mondy said. “He talked about discipline. He was serious and straight to the point. He’s all about business and getting an education. He kind of reminded me of Coach (Todd) Graham.”
“My interest would be very high because it would be my second in-state offer,” Mondy said. “I have family down there, and I really like the program. I’m also friends with Hassan Ridgeway, and he’s told me great things about Texas.”
Per 24/7, 2018 QB Zaddy Dinkelmann of Somerset is in Austin for the QB camp.
He is a part of the famous Detmer family and is already committed to LSU:
