wtf is our front office doing. this can be salvaged if we end up signing Dan Williams... but
5/70 with 39MM guaranteed. he gets 48 in the first 3 years. frontloaded deal with a lot of guarantees. he did well for a 30 year old
The number of years and the fact it's front loaded is my only issue with it. I was fully expecting it to cost $13 - $14MM a year to keep him with a mostly guaranteed contract, I'm not sure what New England was offering but Raven is right, he wasn't gonna have any trouble getting $13MM+ on the open market so if they weren't willing to offer that much then this shouldn't have been any surprise.
16M for three year of a 30year old corner that got tackled by a ref.. lol jets
do the pats suddenly have the worst defense in the division?
All three of the other teams in the division have a good defense at this point so it's not really a question. The current roster on New England would be one of the worst defenses in the NFL.
Not sure why you're laughing, your defense just went from elite to atrocious overnight![]()
considering Browner was my favourite guy on D, i'd say my laugh is of the bitter kind.. About revis i don't give a honestly, about having to see midget corners getting abused by 6-5 receivers, well that bothers me.
not really a question..
would be funny if jets decide to sign browner too.. i mean, one of the best and unique corners, totally worth the money..
Apparently the Raiders offered Knighton something in the vicinity of 5 mil per year and he's holding out for 8-9. And yet he's still unsigned as teams are continuing to commit their resources elsewhere. At some point his standards will have to drop, as he's largely a 2 down player.
I hope the Saints get Browner. They need him desperately.
He's just an undisciplined steroid abuser, tbh.
Even after signing Helu, the Raiders apparently still in on DeMarco. bleh. i mean if he comes, cool. he's a good running back. but certainly not worth the type of contract he's likely to receive. Really hope his agent is just blowing smoke
sounds like every nfl player, ever![]()
Well at this point Bill might as well start prepping for the Janine Garofolo era. Considering how the other teams loaded up, I wouldn't be shocked to see Miami and Buffalo jump the Pats next year. Shoulda paid the man.
I'll take him as a Wilfork replacement.
Jets and Bills are both QB desperate... Bills are literally ready to contend if they get a QB (but they don't even have a first rounder). But Brees in det weather is worrisome.
all that splash and stuck with geno/ej
in other news Gabbert is re-signed![]()
Rumor has it that Carolina is content with their receiving corp, looking forward to the draft to make a pick - and not looking at second-tiers like Crabtree or Shorts.
Gettleman pls
Raiders. Stingy to the extreme.
