The Cowboys fans (or fans of any other teams for that matter) who want to draft Gurley in the 1st round are ing re ed. Drafting running backs in the 1st round is always a horrible idea, but it's even worse when the RB has the mileage Gurley has.

10 years from now when Gurley has washed out of the NFL and can barely get out of bed in the morning while the NCAA is up to its neck in lawsuits, he'll be looked at one of the former "student athletes" who was swindled out of the most money.

    after signing Iupati... that's scary

their defense lost some talent this year, but at the same time they had guys missing last year. if palmer stays healthy and they have peterson, that's an elite team

Assuming all of that happens, it seems like next year is going to be more lopsided in terms of one conference being better than any other year in recent memory. Is there an AFC team that rivals Arizona (with Peterson), Seattle or Green Bay? New England had maybe the worst off season of all of last year's contending teams, Denver also took a step back, and Pittsburgh hasn't done anything notable. Unless Indy gets significantly better, the AFC will be a huge joke next year.

Cromartie is the only real loss that'll be felt on defense. Williams is solid, but they've added depth at his position, and Dockett didn't contribute anything. Foote has been replaced with upside and depth, and the Cardinals can add more in the draft. Lastly, they will have a healthy Mathieu and should get Washington back.

If they get Peterson and get to keep their 1st, they'll be ing stacked.

They also (finally) cut Lyle Seindlein. I'm still amazed that an entire fan base thought someone who didn't belong in the NFL was a pro bowl level lineman just because he's a local guy.

I love what they've done on the line. Even Iupati is a huge step up in protection, despite it being his weakness. Last year's injury protection stats say he's 5x better than those Arizona trotted out last year.

He and Cooper downfield blocking is just a joy to think about. If they get Peterson and some late-round bulldozer RB, with Ellington as a Sproles type out of the backfield and in the slot, their running game could be top-3.

Give up what is needed for Pererson while keeping the 1st and use it for edge rusher, ILB, or CB, then use 4-7th picks on athletes and depth.

If it takes a 2nd/3rd for Peterson/7th, do it.

With a healthy Palmer, this team has a legit window the next two years.

He's a RB who'll be on the wrong side of 30 next season, so giving up a 2nd and 3rd for him is getting in a bidding war with yourself imo, even if it is Adrian Peterson.

He wasn't quite as bad with Alice Smith under center, but he still graded out negatively in pass-pro in 2010 and 2011, so it's not all because of Kraep.

He's league average at best, but last year the Cards were bottom 3 all year at the position, so he's a considerable upgrade, and the entire line is stronger, so it could have a ripple effect where individually good becomes collectively very good or better.

It's worth the risk for the upgrade in the running game.

I paraded it around to my family, all Sun Devil fans, and fans of his Sun Devil Uncle, Danny White.

Reports are the Cardinals are prepared to offer a high round pick initially.

There was a rumor floating last night that he would sign with Houston. Wasn't a source that could be confirmed so I didn't post it, but the source said his family knew Cecil's and and that Cecil himself said he was going to sign.

Five-time Pro Bowl defensive tackle Vince Wilfork most likely will not sign a free-agent contract with the Houston Texans, narrowing his choices to three teams — Indianapolis, New England and Baltimore, Sports Radio 610 has learned.
Wilfork and his wife visited Texans coaches and officials Sunday and Monday, with the Texans wooing him, but a deal could not be reached.
