Everybody needs to be cheering for the Pacers on Wednesday tbh. They beat the Grizz and the Spurs can finish no lower than 5th. In fact, I'd prefer them lose to the Pelis in that scenario![]()
We just have to weather the initial storm by the Pelicans in the first quarter. They're gonna come out guns blazing with a raucous crowd. If we keep it close after that, we'll be fine.
This warriors game also exposed a bit their inexperience and perhaps some tired legs... that was a brutal comeback by Memphis, even if it fell short...
This is the first time I've really analyzed the standings so sorry if this is a repe ive question, but wouldn't we be guaranteed a top 5 seed if we lose against the Pelicans but Houston/LAC/Memphis win their last games?
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe the Clippers just clinched HCA in the first round

So all we have to do is win against NO and we get the #2 seed? Am I correct?
Like I said, gonna be a tough game Wed. But I think the Spurs send a message right before the playoffs and roll tbh.
Someone asked a question to a post. I thought it was spot on. She asked, if masks work, why weren't they handed out in prisons instead of letting the prisoners go free (many of whom committed more crimes)?
Alright guys here are the potential scenarios for the last game for everyone.
Current standings:
1). Warriors: 66-15
2). Spurs: 55-26
3). Clippers: 55-26
4). Blazers: 51-30
5). Rockets: 55-26
6). Grizzlies: 54-27
7). Mavericks: 49-32
8). Pelicans: 44-37
9). Thunder: 44-37
Final games:
Spurs @ Pelicans
Clippers @ Suns
Jazz @ Rockets
Pacers @ Grizzlies
Scenario #1:
If Spurs, Clippers, Rockets, Grizzlies all win
- Spurs will be 2nd seed, Clippers will be 3rd, Rockets will be 5th, Grizzlies will be 6th
- This is the most likely scenario
Scenario #2:
If Clippers win, Rockets win, Grizzlies win; Spurs lose
- Rockets will be 2nd seed, Clippers will be 3rd, Grizzlies will be 5th, Spurs will be 6th
- This is the worst case scenario
Scenario #3:
If Spurs win, Rockets win, Clippers win; Grizzlies lose
- Spurs will be 2nd, Clippers will be 3rd, Rockets will be 5th, Grizzlies will be 6th
Scenario #4:
If Spurs win, Rockets win, Grizzlies win; Clippers lose
- Spurs will be 2nd, Rockets will be 3rd, Clippers will be 5th, Grizzlies will be 6th
- This is the best case scenario
Scenario #5:
If Spurs win, Grizzlies win, Clippers win; Rockets lose
- Spurs will be 2nd, Clippers will be 3rd, Grizzlies will be 5th, Rockets will be 6th
Scenario #6:
If Rockets win, Clippers win; Spurs lose, Grizzlies lose
- Rockets will be 2nd, Clippers will be 3rd, Spurs will be 5th, Grizzlies will be 6th
- This scenario isn't too bad either (this is the only way Spurs get 5th seed)
Scenario #7:
If Clippers win, Grizzlies win; Spurs lose, Rockets lose
- Clippers will be 2nd, Spurs will be 3rd, Grizzlies will be 5th, Rockets will be 6th
Scenario #8:
If Rockets win, Grizzlies win; Spurs lose, Clippers lose
- Rockets will be 2nd, Clippers will be 3rd, Grizzlies will be 5th, Spurs will be 6th
I only listed most scenarios with only of the teams losing. If more than one team loses, then it can change things up further. But all the Spurs have to do is win, and they are 2nd seed. In the unlikely event that all 4 teams lose, Spurs will still be 2nd seed.
