None of his coaching in the playoffs has stood ot. He still plays Pero Antic too much sometimes.

They've only got this far because the east is so terrible. If they were in the west they would have lost in the first round.
I agree with you 100%. I still laugh at Spurs East too to describe them like they have won something up to this point. They are a good team but very overrated by some. I think the Cavs in 6.

I disagree. The Hawks have very much flew under the radar all season and despite having home court I don't know anyone irl who picked them to win the series.

I thought they really had a chance but without Thabo and Carroll this series is more of a formality now.

Okay I see what you are saying there, I still think they are not that great IMHO. They are a good team but honestly I never saw them coming out of the West and was shocked they made the conference finals to be honest, thought if Wall was healthy they are at home right now sitting. I never thought they had a chance against Lebron, with the other two out as you mentioned they surely don't have a chance now. Love is out and Irving is banged up too though so don't forget that, if they are 100% as well they win the series vs. the Hawks even with those other two.

I don't think the Hawks are that great, just my opinion. I think they lack the star to take over games or a series when it comes down to it. They do play good team ball though I will give them that, if they caught fire like say Detroit did in 04 they had/have a shot but I doubt it.

DC were a bad match up with them I agree, if wall was healthy they might have lost. However they matched up well with Cleveland. Beating them pretty easily the last three time they met. They had Carroll and Thabo for Lebron, Teague and Schroder for Irvong/JR, and Millsap and Horford were mobile enough to get out on Cleveland stretch 4s. Clevelends loss of love really isn't as impactful as Atlantas loss of Thabo even before Carroll went down. Now as you saw today, when Cleveland went small they had to put Millsap on LeBron instead of before maybe sliding him down to the 5 and putting Thabo in on Jr so Carroll can guard lebron. It's kind of like when we lost Danny or Kawhi last year(13-14). It created all kinds of issues with the lineups. It's a bummer, I was hoping for a good series.

Maybe they did match up well regular season, remember OKC last year and Portland? The playoffs came and the Spurs handled them pretty well spite the regular season (OKC 4-0). I don't put too much into that but maybe they did match up well with Cleveland and it could have carried over to the playoffs? Who knows now and like you said I was hoping for a good series as well but it appears Cleveland is going to just march into the finals now like most have said. I wanted this one to go 6 or 7 too, damn.

When Kyle Korver moved out of Lebron James' way on that late dunk last night, it reminded me of this.

If they win the le, ya..the Knicks trade was good regardless, but that was due to dealing with Phil Jackson and the worst franchise in the NBA..

Giving up 1st round picks for Mozgov isn't really worth it, unless they win, though, of course..
A couple of late firsts for a starting center isn't a bad deal at all, unless Durant is really done and that pick they got from OKC in the Waiters deal ends up being good.

It's never brought up enough how much of a jabroni Antic is. On any non-intentional foul,he es about it. Every call, even on the bench.

I've never seen Lebron this enaged. Normally he's fine with taking moments off. He's dialed in and wow.

So far, so sweep. Plain and simple, the Atlanta Hawks do not have the guts to play through terrible officiating and LeBron James. Spurs on the other hand.

Once you have players hesitation and lower percentages on shooting, that's a sign of weakness and confidence. Broken plays and non crisp passes. Other signs of weakness. Most of all, playing beneath your expectations while the opponent has barely half its starting lineup on court; another sign of weakness, beta minded approach to the game.

The Hawks should have the Cavs buried but they're playing just like the Bulls played the Cavs. Completely lacking a will to win. A will to dominate.

You know what else.....they aren't ever first to the ball.
