Spurs arena being renovated ?

I read that the AT&T arena is being renovated and 18,000 seats are being tossed in the trash.
Is this true? Is anyone going down there and picking up any seats for their mancave?
Anyone know of anything else being tossed out?

I took a brick from the Hemisfair Arena demo. Seats would seem better in theory than in practice, but the county should have explored the possibility of auctioning at least some of them.

Some of the improvements will see high definition televisions being installed throughout the arena. LED signage will be inside as well as outside on the ticket towers. The biggest (and probably most overdue) change that has fans excited is the addition of a brand new jumbotron. It is expected to be a high-definition, state of the art video board that will provide views up to four times more than the current one. Other technology based improvements are Wi-Fi and audio systems.
