I imagine CJ and Manu are up in the air at the moment. This is likely the boat the Spurs figured they'd be in at this point. They've got ten guys (?) either signed or ready to sign. There are worse positions to be in, even if they lose out on LA.

Sucks losing two decent bigs in Baynes and Tiago. Our FO must be 100% on LMA coming to us...It's the only reason why we would do it.

The meltdown incoming if we lose Tiago & Banger and LMA doesn't sign with us.

No, I knew what you meant. I could see the advantage of perhaps keeping Beli, Splitter and Baynes, but their value was based on their ability to improve next year. Baynes and Marco would have needed to really take a leap to earn the money they ended up making, and Splitter is just simply an unknown quan y due to durability questions.

Given their question marks, the Spurs haven't really lost out on anything at this point. If Lamarcus isn't going to come to San Antonio, which is absolutely the perfect situation for him in every way, there's no guarantee any other top free agent big was going to. Retaining CJ, signing someone like the corpse of David West and a couple of journeyman bigs would probably be okay.
