For a brolic 7'3, this dude really has no rebounding instincts whatsoever. WCS got that last offensive rebound right over Boban.

I think it is more of a lack of quickness and mobility. I think you surround him with a lot of quick athletic guys help rebound. But he's pretty good at being able to screen out the opposing center from getting the ball. Let him do this and let the other guys pick up the rebound.

The people that say he was awful possibly have watch 1 or 2 real games in their lifetime.

He not only brought us back down 14. His mobility and blocks were great. He even had a steal. His first game in the league could not have gone any better.
People seem to forget that when they put his on the court, the team rallied back. They took him out also, and then the Kings built up a lead. It was obvious that the Kings were intimidate with his presence. Even Marco had made a terrible shot with Boban just right in front of him and not really contesting the shot. Marco's shot almost missed the rim entirely.

Stein's a lottery talent though. Of course he's going to have a lot more upside than a no name big man from Europe. People should probably temper their expectations with Boban, especially when it comes to comparing him to legit young talent.

I think it was Simmons who failed to box out.

The guy is so big that he inadvertently elbowed Cousins in the face! I guess he didn't realize that Cousins was that small!

For some reason, people expect Boban to box out more than two players!

That was a fantastic pass by Anderson to Boban for his first points.

Kyle has the right idea getting the ball to Boban high. Bounce passes are useless to this guy.

    Not bad.
Definitely not the fastest guy, but not as slow as I expected.
I see some potential as a role player.

I'm still surprised watching that vid how fast Boban is running down the court for his size.

Wasn't too impressed with his hands. He bobbled almost everything tossed to him. But I was very impressed with his defensive instincts. Once he figures out rotations, he'll be a beast on that end.

On offense, I think as others have said that bounce passes won't work for him but the pnr or high/low with a taller passer like KA should be unguardable.

Just watched his highlights. Judging by the highlights he looks like he can be a serviceable backup center.
