Yeah. Easily the best coach there. I wonder if Pop was upset about the plays Becky called. He was on Bud for calling one of Pop's plays when he was the Spurs SL coach. That Hammer, though.
Spurs have had better SL teams than this and never went all out. it was always about getting certain players time in different situations and evaluate the outcome, damn the score. While I didn't get to watch any games this whole vegas SL seemed to be about what the team could do. even if we really only had two or three players worth a damn.
But we all agree the assailant can wear any hat he wants.
I thought about this. LOL. Hopefully no plays from the secret book.
It helps that KA and Simmons know the plays. Kudos to Becky and the coaching staff to get the other guys to run through sets.

Over the whole summer league which is a sizable amount, the guy has been drawing fouls like an MVP (see what I did there? lol). In all seriousness though the guy had been shooting about 10 FT per game with about 80%, but last game signs of fatigue the whole team was shooting ft poorly, and this game it continued. It is a sign of fatigue IMO.

OMGGGG I saw that and I imagined Pop about to have a heart attack if these two put up this kind of show in a real regular season game. they going to be in the doghouse.

And off the bounce as he was running and everyone was in motion. The pass and the court vision were impressive.
Becky is amazing, but if your guys don't execute then its a flop. Simmons and Anderson do have real talent, but Becky made them shine and put them in positions to be successful, which another coach might have failed at miserably. Anderson is unorthodox and even the Spurs are learning how to use him. Simmons is talented and looked like he had tools with the Nets, but he blossomed greatly here. That is a testament to Becky. She got these guys to buy in and play as team.

I don't know about previously, and Simmons was a damn revelation this summer!!! But I thought initially, the Spurs wanted to see improvement from Anderson, and see if he could lead this band of misfits to anything. As much as the manu conversation is polarizing among fans here, the truth is that Anderson has been a leader of winning teams, and this one is another one on his resume. What he could be and what he can do in the future is unknown, but this summer league for the Spurs was about him. Could he potentially in the future be a guy that you have as a leader of your bench. Its also kind of clear that Kyle has been working on a post up game, and you could see certain other facets of what they were trying to do with him. I think it surprised a whole lot of ppl, fans included, how much improved he came into SL and once he formed up a tandem with Simmons the both of them were unstoppable at times. Danny said it best in the interview, Kyle is ahead of the development everyone thought of him.
Props to Becky for getting the best out of him, possibly giving Pops some ideas with this tandem to be honest. And once they were so invested in this tournament and were in a roll, even if you saw all you wanted to see, you have to let them go all the way, even for Becky's development as a coach.
