Team World is stacked, tbh. Chris Paul and the Gasol brothers? Going to be tough to beat.

BORIS DIAW, POP, R.C. BUFORD WILL PARTICIPATE.
Is this Pop's first ever assignment to coach an international team?

R.C will do some serious scouting there, you watch.
I mean, we all know who WOULD win if this were an actual compe ive game. What's likely is that it's more of an organized scrimmage that is purposefully kept relatively close by the loose style of play. There is literally nothing at stake and it's a giant ad for the development of basketball in Africa.
Which is a good thing IMO ...
Yeah the Gasol brothers are tough to beat. It's almost impossible.
But Boris Diaw & Batum had beaten them before right? At the World's in Spain, their homecourt. .who knows
I will cheer for Team Africa. The underdogs and I like Pop to win.
That African defense is going to be sick. But there's no PG. I wish Mudiay had signed up. He's natural-born Congolese. Or Beverly and Jackson, who look Somalian.
I was thinking why they did not invite Blake Griffin, he is African-American too. He's father's Haitian.
But of course Pop would be his coach if they did .
Umm... Do you not know where Haiti is?
Somewhere in the Caribbeans? LOL
Well, forget about Griffin, I am not sure what his race really is. But he definitely has African blood (father). I just read once somewhere he has Afro/Caucasian blood with "ginger hair"... .
to bad mutombo cannot play for team africa. I remember he was associated with giving back to Africa.
Most of the NBA has african blood. Most of Team World in this game has african blood, too.
Every freakin' person in this world has african blood... talk about ridiculous racist comment!
Not everyone though has Caucasian blood, not everyone has Asian blood, but we all have African blood.
Ok fine. Most of the NBA has more than a miniscule amount of African blood.
Anyways my point is that his father being Hatian has no relevance to Griffin being a candidate for Team Africa since Haiti is nowhere near Africa.
According to ESPN, Mutombo along with Olajuwon & NBA Commissioner Adam Silver are involved, they have roles in the game & in the preparations.
I agree with you here. Whoever made that reference doesn't know their geography.
Is this going to be televised?
Who would have thought...Jimmer accounts on ST.
