Hope he doesn't make the team. Will add fire to his game.
Some nice comments from Colangelo and Coach K.

"It's not going to be easy," the often tight-lipped Leonard said. "I just have to keep doing what I do."
Team USA general manager Jerry Colangelo offered a similar thought this week, but hinted the 6-foot-7-inch forward, who averaged 16.5 points, 7.2 rebounds and an NBA best 2.3 steals last season, might have a better shot than he thinks.
"Next year is not going to be just a team of scorers" Colangelo said. "We need guys who can play different roles and give us the strongest, most balanced team."
"Kawhi is one of the best defenders in the league. He's a great guy, he has the character we look for in players, and I think he has a legitimate shot at being part of our team."
Team USA head coach Mike Krzyzewski echoed Colangelo's sentiment.
"You have to consider Kawhi because he's one of the best defenders, probably in the world," Krzyzewski said.
Hope he doesn't make the team. Will add fire to his game.
It goes two ways. Curry (reign MVP), Harden (runners-up MVP), Anthony Davis (MVP candidate), Klay Thompson, Kyrie Irving, Manimal, etc, etc, all played a lot better after playing in last year Spain World Cup. Playing and practicing vs an NBA concentrated talent team should elevate your game and it showed.
Backhanded compliments are not nice comments.
Very unfortunate this young man is not buying into the process![]()
Didn't realize Team USA is looking for media monkeys over superior basketball players.
If that's how they feel, Kawhi is better off not playing, tbh.
Salty..
NYPOST
I doubt Kawhi said it like that. Berman was probably upset that he couldn't talk to Kawhi after the game or something.

It's about buying into all facets of the program on and off the court. No different than Pop getting mad at Danny Green for saying things on twitter he shouldn't be.
I guess it's up to LMA to carry the mantle as the only american patriot on the spurs since the Admiral retired!
You really are gonna have to step up your troll game.
He's anti-America because he didn't talk to reporters.

^^^ If all you care about is "superior basketball players" and not building a sustainable program, you end up with epic and embarrassing failures like the 2004 Bronze.
Its nice to see him being proactive with the knee sleeves considering his past knee issues. Those things can make a world of difference in how comfortable and confident you feel with your knees.
at the idea of anybody considering Marbury and Jeffersont to be "superior basketball players".
The 2004 Bronze team sucked because all of the best players were injured, wrapped up in rape scandal, or still scared off from 9/11. Lebron, Wade, and Melo were still rooks, and Duncan couldn't sneeze without getting called for a foul. It was most certainly not because they weren't willing to talk to the media.![]()
Nice try, though.
Those gots Colangelo and Krewzikskeet love the publicity.
Here, Jerry, take a picture of me hugging Paul George on his hospital bed and have it "leaked"

So i guess Draymond Green is a lock as the next Charls Barkley...
Seems like Kawhi only does interviews he is "Required" to do. The post game interview seemed to be voluntary, and everyone knows, he'd rather not do any media unless he has to. Nothing new here.
The final roster will depend on who are the best players healthy and available, and the roster spot needs of the team. If Kawhi doesn't make it, it won't be because of media. Pffff!
What kind of of narcissistic got goes for a three-peat in international ball? Common courtesy should be to win a gold then let another great coach add that to their resume, instead this got Coach K wants a three-peat on his resume. Should be Pop at the reigns right now getting ready to hand them over to Carlisle/Thibs after '16.
Also it would be a travesty if Kawhi doesn't make it. LeBron and KD are the only SFs that are better than him, noone else.
LOL
Coach KGOAT saved USA basketball after gots like Larry Brown and George Karl let us down and embarrassed us in front of the world. You have to build a program now to compete with the rest of the world. Can't just fly guys in two weeks before the games start and roll a ball out. CROFL at acting like 2004 didn't have enough raw talent. Who did Argentina have besides Manu? Carlos Delfino and Ncioni?
I guess i'm the only one on here in a managerial position? No one who was would claim not talking to the media is the reason they lost, but rather another symptom of the lack of program that led to a loss.
Agreed. And KD only if he returns to form.
Yeah, I wouldn't be surprised if he blew off voluntary media interviews, but I would be surprised if he actually said that quote Berman gave.
Melo doesn't do rings
Building a sustainable program ≠ Talking to the media after a scrimmage.
Keep trying.
Mike and jerry blow if kl does not make the team.
