I don't get how UT fans can be so complacent and use the youth excuse for a bunch of guys that were elite recruits. Especially when other young, lesser in-state programs like UTSA, Texas State and even SMU haven't looked anywhere near as pathetic in their match-ups vs ranked teams.

This game won't affect recruiting one way or another. Strong is selling the future, not one game against the #11 team on the road.

I dont get it either. They are young on defense, but the youth excuse doesn't work for Swoopes. They aren't going to get any better with him starting.

If you want to pick a coach to go on the block, it will probably be him. Seems like Bridgewater covered a lot of his flaws. He does have a top QB recruit coming in next season though, so we will see how it shakes out.

Perhaps your argument will play out a by mid-season, but it doesn't work right now. Top five TCU struggled against an unranked Minny team. Openers don't say much about how your year is going to go. Just look at Aggie last season.
