a qb is elite if you put the top qb in his place and there is only a slight improvement.
Eli got shat on big time with this list, while most experts agree this is the end for Peyton. This list is a joke tbh

Eli is a ty QB, tbh..
There's only 1 elite QB in the league, too, 9 is just ridiculous..
Brees at #8
Sam Bradford
? Romo got hurt but was playing decently
SO what? That doesn't make him top 2 or 3 QB.
Never said he was top 2? I got...
Rodgers
Brady
Ben
Romo
Ryan
Top 5 based on performance so far imo I would love to hear an argument otherwise
You have Matt Ryan 5th? The ?
-He's 1-4 in the playoffs
-He's played alongside top tier receivers his entire career and still can't win
-Throws picks at a fairly high percentage (~25 TDs to ~20 INTs last year alone iirc)
-System babby QB
-Been pretty unclutch the last few years (hasn't been Matty Ice since 2012/13)
I agree he's been pretty unclutch for a while, but I like to give the QBs a clean slate every season. Also consider the outstanding compe ion he's been up against throughout the years. Peyton and Eli both appear to be regressing and I'm still not completely sold on Kaep or Wilson who appear, strangely, to be regressing as well. Everything changes quickly week to week in the NFL so my list could be obsolete by week 3 tbh.
None of those four are elite (anymore in Manning's case), and neither is Ryan. Like Harlem said, there's one truly elite QB in the league right now (but I can see an argument for Brady), several borderline elite, the very good, the average, and the ty.
Definitely agree with all that, and I never considered Romo elite fwiw that word gets thrown around far too loosely these days.
Brady is playing as well as he ever has. I'd say he's elite right now. Just Rodgers and Brady in that category.
Rivers "elite".
Fiveheads QB IQ, even with his physical decline is 8 million times higher then Opie Rivers.
How long before Football makes his way into the Top 10?
probably by midseason imho
Five years top 5 QBs should look like:
Rodgers
Luck
Newton
Ryan
Flacco
Pretty slim pickings after that... don't see any strong talent entering the league. Those 5 will be playoff mainstays for a long time.
I really dont know why am i doing that, but what the with "five years top 5qb" only to put Newton there. Maybe top 5 black QB`s in Carolina roster ? Newton is there also.
its another way if saying "if you take away 10-15 qb's better than , then he's top 5"
Tier1: Rodgers
Tier 2: Brady
Now go ahead with Tier 3 and down because it's a mess.
Carr ting on the doubters
Apologies for the homer talk, but tbh the Raiders haven't been this relevant since I was in middle school![]()
Forget ..."a"...season. I'm talking body of work so far.
1.Tom Brady
2.Peyton Manning
3.Aaron Rodgers
4.Drew Brees
5.Big Ben
6.Tony Romo
7.Eli Manning
8.Philip Rivers
9.Russell Wilson
10.Andrew Luck
