You would think he would be fired up about not leading his team to a 3rd straight lottery appearance? Oh wait, they don't have their pick
Lesson Learned: Never Poke The Bear
Kobe Bryant took it upon himself to usher his teammates into the new NBA season through his own unique initiation rite: Crushing the youngbloods who dare challenge him on the hardwood.
It may’ve been during practice, it may’ve been during the preseason, but Bryant responded to the trash talk by going full on No. 8-Kobe on the opposing team. Per Lakers.com, Bryant proceeded to toss up his trademark turnaround jumper from his right shoulder -- swish -- and his left shoulder -- splash -- before converting on a four-point play --game.
“[S]omebody said something to Kobe … [and four threes] later, you can see the score now,” rookie Larry Nance Jr. said after practice. “I think we’ve learned from that mistake: Don’t poke the bear.”

Here we go again. Top 3 protected. Until they finish outside of the top 3 the picks stays. I think they lose it but wasnt sure we would get it last year either I figured we would finish around 7th or 8th worst (pre-injuries) This year I dont see us as a bottom 3 but you never know.
He actually showed up for practice? Wow. IIRC last year he only practiced like once a month, and that's with cheap gas for his chopper.
Here's the video from last year, admitting he never practices
Swaggy: This played his last meaningful game at age 33
Michael Jordan You would think he would be fired up about not leading his team to a 3rd straight lottery appearance? Oh wait, they don't have their pick
lol rapist has to get fired up for practices just to beat rookies.
players like Lou williams talking to you
Already poisoning and pitting teammates against each other.
Every time
What a ... This just proves that Kobe still doesn't get it. He still believes that being a "leader" means intimidating his teammates and acting like a fake tough guy, when real leaders know it's all about gaining your teammates' trust and having quality interpersonal relationships with them.
And that's why he'll always be inferior to Duncan (among other reasons).
Didn't he make the team though....? B/c last time he tried that in a real game this happened:

Also too Kobe doesn't let s live with him, he doesn't buy s condos, he doesn't have a tongue ring, he doesn't have a tramp stamp, didn't hire a PI to follow his wife only to find out he was getting cucked, didn't lose a milli to an illegal alien stripper, didn't get taken to the woodshed for 25 LARGE.....didn't hand Lebron a le...doesn't play for 2 million a yr......still has custody of his chilren.....and doesn't take s.....
Even if any of this were remotely accurate, what does it have to do with basketball? Pretty tough to "give away a le" when you're not even close to making the playoffs. I guess Kirby has been giving away the 8 seed for 2 going on 3 years.
I dont get why Spur fans dont get the fact that different leadership styles work for different people. Pop gets on players doe sthat make him a bad coach? What about Bill B,Parcells?
I do prefer Magic's leadership to Kobe (or Kareem's) but that doesnt mean other ways aren't effective. Take Kobe out. Let's talk MJ or Ray LEwis both are not the people you want dating your sister but I would take their drive passion and leadership even if they yell or berate the occasional team-mate to be the leader they need to be.
So would you say they're a lock to make the playoffs?
