Until KL is coached to get to the rim then Spurs won't win , so your argument is actually worse.

If Kawhi's going to brick open shots with the game on the line that badly, then I would much rather he take those shots at the rim. Wow, those shots were hideous. I shouldn't be all over him like this and I will probably feel bad about it later today, but he can't be throwing up wide open bricks like Tony Allen if he wants to be a go-to guy.

I just hate seeing players brick open shots badly with the game on the line. It means they are scared and/or have no confidence in their shot when they miss it that badly. I thought Kawhi was tougher than that. I am nowhere near being a good ball player, but I consider myself a very good shooter. It comes naturally to me though. It's just frustrating seeing guys miss that badly when open. Missing or bricking a tough shot with pressure defense - that is another story, but getting a wide open shots, you just can't brick them as badly as Tony Allen if you want to be a go to guy. Horrible misses from Kawhi.

George Hill lost me when he air balled a wide open 3 with the game on the line against the Grizzles in game 6 of that 2011 series. Had he hit that shot, we still had a chance to win that game and force game 7, but he didn't even hit the rim.

It gets harder in the game. Even Tim Duncan chokes sometimes.

If you're talking about being a "shooter" then watch Kawhi warm-up, he rarely ever misses.

Actually, LMA played defense and grabbed 11 def rebounds (14 overall). DWest in the other hand is playing like a real 1M dollar contract man.

D-West is washed up & can't rebound or guard a pick-n-roll. He;s a good passer, can his the mid-range shot & battle in the post against guys his size. LMA just hasn't been in a groove & looks uncomfortable. The guys is a rhythm players so the adjustment period is affecting his offense.

In the past, when things got ragged, Manu understood we needed some "easy" points, so he took it to the hole and gave up his body for trips to the line. Unfortunately we don't want Manu doing that at his age - or really playing the minutes he is currently playing. Kawhi needs to learn when that is what we need and then go get it.

He still hasn't mastered the are of drawing fouls & getting to the line. When push comes the shove he's going to pull up for a jumper but he short armed them both.
