and yet I noticed 2ndPFGOAT got deleted, or at least all his posts. ST moderation...still as ty as ever.
Slightly better defense? Are you re ed? You're calling Kawhi's defense slightly better than Harden's?
If Kawhi was James Harden on offense (being able to draw fouls at a ridiculous rate) and Kawhi himself on defense, he'd be the MVP.
typical player fan reactions smh
You are literally the only poster that makes me physically cringe with posts.
At least you know something.
Leonard beat Butler like a drum.
Leonard, 25 pts, Butler, only 14.
Leonard 8 rebs, Butler, only 3.
Butler had the highest number of turnovers of anybody who played in the game, 5. That's out of 11 TOs total for Chicago. So, Butler, by himself, was responsible for almost half of the Bulls total turnovers. Leonard had two TOs.
They both played approx 40 minutes.
Butler was -11, the worst +/- of any Bull. (For those who like to throw around the +/- so-called stat.) Leonard was +14, the best of any player who appeared in the game on either team.
The Spurs bench sucked. Sigh.
This pretty much somes up what just happened there![]()
I know you meant this as an insult to Kawhi, but give me a prime Kobe without the diva personality any day.
Almost seems like Pop is outright trying to make him a Kobe...
I don't see any kobe in kawhi. Where's this coming from?
The increased aggression, he now moves like Kobe, his shooting form is Kobe-esque.
Pop is putting him into "Kobe" situations now repeatedly.
I can see the comparisons...
It's good that he's being aggressive. But I still don't see kobe. More like a Pippen Jordan hybrid or something. Maybe I'll have to go check out kobe highlights to see.
Well- Kobe emulated MJ and probably watched a lot of Pippen while doing so, so...
In the End, it all makes sense.
I'm not sure if that's a good thing or a bad thing.
Kobe is who Chip originally gave Kawhi as the model for rebuilding his shot, if I recall correctly. The midrange game Kawhi has been deploying this year is a bit reminiscent of prime Kobe, as is the turnaround J out of the post (which Kobe himself copied from MJ). And while he was never close to Kawhi on D, Kobe is one of the few "star" 2 wings of the last 20 years perceived as being great on both sides of the ball (even if that perception is a bit skewed).
I think those factors are all reasons for the comparisons.
Yeah- you can see it. Kawhi took it to heart and even gained Kobe's form.
Good catch.
How are some of you guys this re ed?
I'm not sure if he got the turnaround from Kobe. Kawhi is part of Jordan Brand and he has hung out with MJ himself the past couple of off-seasons - I've seen them on a youtube video at least once together at a camp, so that turnaround jumper he could have learned directly from Jordan at one of the camps they were at. The Spurs training staff also gets a lot of credit for helping him develop that shot.
I'm not arguing who he learned it from, just explaining why ppl might say his game looks like Kobe's. Kobe copied that move from Jordan too.
Thanks for continuing to be a rent free spastic who isn't actually a Spurs fan.
