I don't want to get banned so I'll leave it at that.
What would get you banned from this place other than posting porn (spoiler: I've never done porn)?

This was a high paced game so the pts per 100 shouldn't be that bad thus the D-Rtg shouldn't think much of a hit.

The opponent 3 point percentage & FG% actually should drop after this game.
yeah, Spurs did a poor job at taking away the Zards' 1st option shots, especially in the 1st half

The key to getting consistent stops is you have to take the other team out of their comfort zone. Take away their A and B options and make them scramble and eat time off the clock.

Pop has prioritize limiting 3 point attempts thus he was trying to run him off the line but unfortunately it was Boris & not Tim defending the rim

Technically, it's 3 back since we have two more games than them.
loss column is all that matters between elite teams. Only thing win column is good for is determining draft pick/ping pong ball order

well, actually it was the beginning that ruined it
True but it still would've held if they didn't get those quick scores to go.

I'm just pissed because I know we'll lose the West if we have to go through BOTH OKC and GSW, with the latter being without HCA. I think we lose to OKC even with HCA, tbh, their double headed elite isoball is tailor made for the playoffs

I see your perspective, but I can't think any of us, including Pop "knows what Simmons can do." Kyle and Simmons are, indeed, different tools for different situations. I thought this game was the situation that called for Simmons. But testing Kyle is okay, and he had some good moments (and one notably bad one).
I personally saw several transition opportunities, that I know for sure if Simms had played, he would have had at least a couple of easy transition buckets, highlight reel material.

While fans are concerned this was not the game for Kyle bc of the fast breaks, I thought it was exactly the kind of game that you want to throw him into, if you want to see whether he can play or not. If he had failed this, maybe it was dleague assignment for him after this game again. We don't know Pop's mind, but he's always had the end game in mind, and for Kyle I think its development.

I was as surprised as everyone to see Pop go to Kyle, and moreover to see him not benched for mistakes of over-aggression. Pop gave a lot of license to Simmons earlier and let him play through mistakes some. Not Kyle, so for all we know, he was just giving the same chance he gave Simmons to play through mistakes and pitted him against a tough athletic team.

He held his own well enough. There were several mistakes, but he was a net positive. So was Simmons when he played. He wasn't a perfect guy, but he was a net positive overall.

    That is all that matters.

For all we know, we are going to be seeing Pop go back and forth between them at least during this part of the season because they are both being developed.

Before anyone jumps on me, I do believe Simmons is a better fit for the bench as it is right now. His athleticism and easy baskets in transition make him a better fit. But the other guy should be developed as well, or sent to the dleague to play. If he can hold his own in the NBA then you have to wonder whether dleague will help him get better at all then.

The other untalked about aspect, maybe a trade is being talked about.

I doubt it, but its not impossible.
