I personally saw several transition opportunities, that I know for sure if Simms had played, he would have had at least a couple of easy transition buckets, highlight reel material.

While fans are concerned this was not the game for Kyle bc of the fast breaks, I thought it was exactly the kind of game that you want to throw him into, if you want to see whether he can play or not. If he had failed this, maybe it was dleague assignment for him after this game again. We don't know Pop's mind, but he's always had the end game in mind, and for Kyle I think its development.

I was as surprised as everyone to see Pop go to Kyle, and moreover to see him not benched for mistakes of over-aggression. Pop gave a lot of license to Simmons earlier and let him play through mistakes some. Not Kyle, so for all we know, he was just giving the same chance he gave Simmons to play through mistakes and pitted him against a tough athletic team.

He held his own well enough. There were several mistakes, but he was a net positive. So was Simmons when he played. He wasn't a perfect guy, but he was a net positive overall.

    That is all that matters.

For all we know, we are going to be seeing Pop go back and forth between them at least during this part of the season because they are both being developed.

Before anyone jumps on me, I do believe Simmons is a better fit for the bench as it is right now. His athleticism and easy baskets in transition make him a better fit. But the other guy should be developed as well, or sent to the dleague to play. If he can hold his own in the NBA then you have to wonder whether dleague will help him get better at all then.

The other untalked about aspect, maybe a trade is being talked about.

I doubt it, but its not impossible.
We can have a side bet on any trade. We have a pat hand. Pop will develop the guys we have. In fact, I think it such a novel experience for him that he is groovin' on it.

I'm just pissed because I know we'll lose the West if we have to go through BOTH OKC and GSW, with the latter being without HCA. I think we lose to OKC even with HCA, tbh, their double headed elite isoball is tailor made for the playoffs
without Harden okc has no chance against San Antonio

So how many NBA championships has it yielded?

The very best we can do is enter the playoffs healthy. We won, everyone appears ok.
We are getting better. OKC double head has been cut off due to fragile bodies on great athletes.

Long way to go, to much random crap we can't predict. Did you think we would start this well? I didn't.

That's different. I don't think Bonner is human and I make fun of his hair color. The term you use is akin to the n word to me.

I've noticed that too. Terrible optics.

When we had season tickets I used to notice that lots of the boxes were empty most games. Those are almost all corporate. It used to make me mad to see them unused, and I always wished that the organization would allow regular fans to sit in them if they were still empty by half time.

They did raise prices (always do), but the lower bowl is all sold out for the season, so it is just people not showing up
There were plenty of no shows tonight, but not nearly as many as it appears on TV. They did a great job with the renovation in creating places to be comfortable, and get separated from your money, other than your seat. The concourses, bars, and concession areas are full of people throughout the game. Why people pay good money to go to a basketball game and not watch the game is beyond me, but it's true. It's always been true, but there's more of it this season than I've seen in the last 12 years, and I've attended about 95% of all home games in that time.

Yes. But I didn't expect the Dubs to start this well...

As for the how many championships argument, they've only had 1 other legit shot besides the year they ran into a buzzsaw in Miami (Lebron was determined not to lose that year yet again). That was in 2014, and they would have won it had they gotten past the Spurs. Ibaka being absent the first two games really hurt them, and even then the Spurs were very fortunate the series didn't go to 7.

Westbrook was out in 2013, and Durant was out last year.

This play with Manu and Patty is off the charts in terms of coordination:
