That was the worst basketball team ever assembled by the US, tbh. Even a prime MJ would have a hard time putting a team with Iverson and Marbury, two of the biggest cancers in basketball, on his back. Good thing the '08 reincarnation just one one prime cancer (Kobe) to deal with. Also, not sure how the '08 would be able to beat a prime '04 Argentina squad.

Stats show Kobe was nothing more than a role player on a superior team while Duncan was the linchpin on a team that should've lost every game because of its poor construction. Kobe won on a team that was built to beat any team by at least 30 points, the US team had like 4 freaking years to prepare for it.

Yet Kobe closed for an elite squad Duncan was the leader and best player for an all time ty one ...it happens.
