I'm not sure this necessarily means Fowler will be through the Clearinghouse.
Strong said in his press conference this morning that he wants to name the starting QB early in fall camp.
Says we could have our guy by next weekend.

Big update....Coach Mattox said today in media availability that OL Kent Perkins is going to start at guard in camp.
Perkins playing inside at his more natural position would be ideal, but that would mean Hudson, Nickelson or Okafor would have to solidify themselves at the RT spot.
Quite possible the OL has two true freshman starters for the second year in a row.
Looks like Nickelson's great off season in the weight room paid off for him. Lets just hope his footwork improved from last season, because that's what held him back by many reports.

24/7 says UT is "making a push" as a decision nears for LB Kenneth Murray.
Even though he grew up a UT fan, this one doesn't feel like Texas imo.
Just an FYI on DE Lagaryonn Carson.
He will meet with the UIL in about two weeks because he's turning 19 this fall and he has to clear up any potential eligibility issues.
24/7 and Inside Texas think this is more of a formality than anything and he should be good to go for 2016.
To clear up any confusion from earlier in the week, 24/7 says DE Taquon Graham still has UT in the lead despite a good visit to OU last weekend.
He will likely push his decision date back again after saying he wanted to commit before his senior season.
Burton from 24/7 is reporting that despite what Strong said in his press conference today, Texas doesn't expect DE Erick Fowler on campus next week.
If he does make it to campus this fall, they think it will be around the time classes start.
Coach Gilbert said today he still hasn't watched any UT games from last year.
He doesn't want to have anything from last year affect his judgment of who should play this season.
There's no single digits. Haha. They need to earn it or something I'm sure.

Small Erick Fowler update from OrangeBloods...they say he signed with Navarro JC at some point in case he didn't qualify for UT.
The good news is that sources at Navarro JC claim, as of today, that he will be at UT in the fall and have pretty much written him off to play for them.
