Update on LB Anthony Hines of Plano East after visiting for the UTL camp in July (24/7):
“It was an awesome visit,” Hines said. “It’s always good to talk to Coach (Charlie) Strong and Coach (Vance) Bedford and Coach (Brian) Jean-Mary as well. Just being able to build relationships and see the unmatched facilities. You can’t beat the education."
“They are building something special and what a lot of people don’t realize is their linebacker depth really isn’t that great. There are opportunities.”
“Coach Strong just tells me to continue to stay humble,” Hines said. “He let me know where I stand. They’ve been interested for a while, and he tries to make it known that I’m a top priority. My dad is a huge fan of Coach Strong and trusts him.”
“My mom usually doesn’t go on visits, but it’s getting down to the nitty gritty,” Hines said. “She enjoyed it. She was really impressed with Coach Strong in particular. He’s a guy that she can trust to build me up as a man.”
“I talked to Chris Warren and Malik Jefferson, and they are just trying to get me to go there,” Hines said. “Charles Omenihu is trying to get me to go there, too. Malik wants me to commit.”

What I've read is it's his birthday. Plus, he's going to be an early enrollee. Hard to get a read on him, but Burton did crystal ball him to Texas. My understanding it's a Texas/TCU battle.
