OL Adrian Ealy of Gonzales, LA says he'll be committing on October 14th, according to 24/7.
He is an early enrollee.
Who do our board members think will start at QB for UT? Shane or Ty? I think it's going to be Shane because CS insists both players will play and it doesn't make sense to start Ty and then randomly bring in Shane, but it does make sense to start Shane and still use Ty in the 18 Wheeler Package. That and some other reasons make me think it's Shane. But I could be totally wrong.
Headed down to Austin for my annual weekend of poor decisions. RIP my liver.
Not going to get to go to the game this season(tickets from the season ticket holder fell through) but there's going to be so much going on and so many people there I'm good with it. Really ing pumped for this year.
For all the home games?
I know some faculty. They get about 100 dollars off on tickets in the alumni section (Most faculty are not rich folks). A number of those guys kinda owe me and I turned down a ND ticket. If you want to go to another game and can't find a ticket and don't mind sitting with faculty in the alumni section I might be able to hook you up. PM me for other games if you want. I don't normally go as I like watching from the TV so I can curse. And you might have to behave yourself if you are a screamer.
I hate it when alumni tickets go unused. Although this ND ticket most likely found a home. I have been offered away games as well but there are some places you don't want to go.
I'll be at all the home games this year, so if any of ya'll want to meet up pre-game let me know we have a pretty good tailgate spot (PM me). Also, if you are looking for tickets, let me know I might be able to help out sometimes.
A few notes from Burton on 24/7...
-he expects QB Shane Buechele to be the "starter" against Notre Dame.
-OT Tristan Nickelson and C Zach Shackelford returned to practice yesterday, but OG Patrick Vahe did not.
Recent quotes from five-star LB Baron Browning of Kennedale (24/7):
“I’m excited for it (senior season),” Browning said. “I’m trying to reach some of the goals that I set last year. I didn’t get all of them, so I want to do that this year. From a defensive perspective, we know what buttons we have to push to get everything right.”
“I don’t have a list right now,” Browning said. “I’m just chilling, to be honest. I’m still trying to figure out all my officials. You only get five, so I’m trying to figure everything out with my parents.”
“I talked to Coach BJ a few days ago,” Browning said. “He just said he’s going to hit me up a lot more. He was getting the guys ready for the season. Coach Jennings has been hitting me up, too. Usually, Coach Strong hits me up the most, but he’s getting ready for the season, so I’m not worried about it.”
“I want to see how they match up against a good school like Notre Dame,” Browning said. “It will be a good matchup. I’m pretty excited to see it. I think Texas has a good team, but they just have to be consistent."
“When Coach Strong first came in, those guys weren’t the ones he recruited. It’s more so just trying to find a way to get everybody to click. I think everyone is coming together, and they’ll have a good season. Rome wasn’t built in one day.”
