It's difficult to believe that Strong doesn't already have his fingerprints all over this defense with his reputation as an elite defensive coach.
No matter his degree of involvement, demoting Bedford is the last mulligan he has.
Saturday night was a lesser version of ASU/Tech.

Texas has the talent on defense. My hope going into this season was 8 wins. This team could still get there or even better so I will take California as a learning experience for a young team. If UT can win the next two games then I think just about anyone would have taken a 4-1 start at the beginning of the year. Yes, the Big 12 is not as good this year but neither is Texas. I expect to see a regular bowl game this year, one of the bix 6 next year and a playoff bid the following year.
Per Orangebloods file away the name of Rivals250 safety Bubba Bolden. I'm told the Las Vegas Bishop Gorman is a prospect that is very high on the UT recruiting board. Look for Texas to offer him soon and if they do offer, he is expected to visit.

Kirk Bohls just tweeted he's hearing that Brian Jean-Mary Could take over as the DC. I would love to see that happen!
It was actually a carbon copy of UT v Tech 2015
But I know what you're getting at
That too, as Texas killed it in rushing and still lost.
I'm guessing it will be DC by committee with BJ-M and Strong tag-teaming it.
But like I said above, I have my doubts that Strong hasn't been involved.
We'll find out quickly since these wide open offenses aren't going away.
Change is good, so glad that it happened before Big 12 play. I once envisioned that we could go to the playoffs. That was just a dream though, our glad continues to be and always has been Big 12 play. Glad that this happened now and that our expectations are where they are supposed to be.
2018 WR Brennan Eagles (Alief Taylor)
This is a scary thought.
Did anyone see sideline instruction/ meetings with all the D-backs, D-lineman ? Anything?
I just saw heads down, players sitting looking perplexed. There can be in game teaching going on.
I was given the impression we have corners who could handle opposition 1 v. 1 .
We may have to protect the D by grinding via the run. I understand part of our plan is to hurry up before the D can set, but...
I predict the conference will go 2-8 in those match ups
