If Auburn get Briles and LSU Herman, recruiting in the state of Texas will be a biiiiiiiiiiitch.
I can't imagine any high profile program would hire Briles at this point, but stranger things. .

See, I can't imagine recruits and their parents would go with Briles
His agent is Sexton, by the way.
He's the one whose had him out on this apology tour.
Yeah for sure, smart play by the agent.
I think Briles ends up on a pro team, imo

2018 CB Tanner McCalister (Rockwall-Heath)
http://www.espn.com/college-football...ghorns-defenseAccording to ESPN Stats & Information research, Webb was only pressured on seven of 40 attempts and faced just four blitzes. Texas' defensive line could not get to him in time, and its secondary wasn't playing tight enough to permit risky pressures.
Yeah, bad coaching but the talent just might not be there yet either
Lack of talent did not give up 57 points.
This is where alumni become important. If they know Briles, and know what he has done, do they say no way? Or what they know is his ability as a FB coach overrides anything else.
Cmon, it can't be all on the coaches.
Those DBs are looking pretty meh 3 games in, tbh.
And the line needs more Roach, imo
Who at this point doesn't know about Briles or lacks the ability to Google?
I just don't see how a university hires him any time soon
Know his values. " I don't want him on the same campus as my daughter, to with FB"
Know he is a good football coach. " He resurrected a program, the other stuff is overblown"
How can you tell a CB looks meh when they don't know if the have help or are completely out of position? We were led to believe our two CBs would allow us to get away with lack of talent with experienced safeties. So meh at safety was a given. But not at CB.
The point really is there are so many confused players on the field along with other silly coaching decisions that we/I am a bit tired of excuses. The blocked extra point during the ND game had kids running in and out looking at the coaches hands up in the air. The coaches did not call time out. If we had lost that game, everyone would have pointed at the coaches. Too many things like this have occurred this year.
And there should be zero UT fans that think all is well if we beat OU. The Cal game has illustrated we are vulnerable against almost all of the Big 12.
S Donovan Stiner of Bellaire has committed to Houston.
He camped with UT a few times over the summer after de-committing from Baylor.

"......If Briles went to Auburn in any capacity, it likely would mean Jay Jacobs, who wears his faith on his sleeve, was no longer the athletics director. Jacobs could've hired Bobby Petrino in 2012, but what Petrino expected to be a phone interview with Jacobs and his committee turned out to be a lecture about the embarrassing behavior that cost Petrino his job at Arkansas.
If Jacobs wouldn't give Petrino real consideration, it's hard to imagine he would take Briles seriously in any capacity given the questions regarding his program's handling of sexual assault allegations against Baylor players.
An independent review of the Baylor football program and the larger university included this damaging statement: "Pepper's findings also reflect significant concerns about the tone and culture within Baylor's football program as it relates to accountability for all forms of athlete misconduct.
Any school that hires Briles anytime soon will be blistered and accused of trying to win at all costs. Would Auburn be willing to weather that storm? ......"

LB Anthony Hines will not be visiting Aggy this weekend
