Maybe they should've gone crazy on the field instead. Charlie would still have a job.
Players are going crazy on tweeter tonight (to be expected).

They may have asked Strong how he wants to do this. I doubt they are attempting to torture the man and the team. But I'm not a PR guy or "how does this look fellas"
If Strong doesn't spill the beans in his opening statement, someone will have to explain to me the strategy of letting reporters repeatedly ask him if he's fired.
Per OrangeBloods, Strong has informed his assistant coaches that he's being fired.
Inside Texas reporting Strong did let the team know earlier tonight that he's being fired.
Looks like they might be letting him handle it his way. They had to have asked him how he wanted this, if not, they all need to be fired. It's possible he did not consider the internal uproar. But then you think admin would have given them their thoughts about waiting like this.
Or we could be a big rudderless ship with everyone scared to make a mistake. Social media does suck with issues like this. It allows gossip to increase exponentially. And in a way that's why we are here, a little dash of drama. We hit bottom so let's get irate and spray blame.
Ironic the players coming to the defense of Charlie Strong. I think both he and the players had resigned themselves to believe this was going to happen one way or another. Strong began stating a few weeks ago that whomever was coaching next year would win 10 games easy (seems very laughable now) and I heard several players began following Tom Herman on Twitter a few games back. That to me does not sound like a team with confidence in their ability to win and fight for one another. They played this way and were coached this way, too scared.
This press conference is going to be cringe-inducing.

I hope he does get to coach against TCU and even a bowl game. If his players really love him that much, two wins and a winning record in the third year would be a nice way to walk away. He would also likely get picked up that much quicker, thus, saving UT many millions of dollars.
OrangeBloods saying Strong will address his future, and conversations he's had with Perrin, at the 11 a.m. presser.

We would have beat Kansas with no coaches, making up plays in the huddle. Coaches can't do anything about players being soft.
Acho is the one bright spot among explayers who try to analyze on LHN.
This is ridiculous. We are a ing clown show. No resolution at all. Belmont in the ass.
Anybody getting anything, its blank for me....
rofl players might want to boycott. that's what happens with black coaches. players think they're your friends, that they'll go easier on you, so you don't give it your all. it happens in the NBA too, which is why so many players wanted those ty ex players to be coaches.
I'd rather them be friends with their players than children in a shower.
