QB Sam Ehlinger has been chosen for the Elite 11 Finals and will head to Oregon for Nike's The Opening.
He was the last name called on the reveal show just now.
Update on 2018 CB Anthony Cook from Houston Lamar after receiving a UT offer yesterday (24/7):
“That was a big offer because it was one I was waiting on,” Cook said. “I know that UT doesn’t like to offer early, so I was really excited. After the camp, Coach (Clay) Jennings called my mom and told us. It was amazing. We were both excited.”
“I don’t have a Top 5, but they would definitely be in it,” Cook said. “I like Coach (Clay) Jennings. They do a lot of press and allow you to show off your abilities. It’s DBU. If you play with good defensive backs, you can become a better defensive back.”
“I had a short conversation with him (Strong), but he said he watched my film and liked my ability,” Cook said. “I like how he is turning the program around. It can only get better. I also like that he’s real and doesn’t take it too easy on his players.”
“I talked to (Cuffee) about the program,” Cook said. “Basically, he tells me that it’s a great program. But he told me that I don’t have to commit and to enjoy the process. He’s the big cousin I always looked up to. I never played with him, so it would be amazing if I did.”

He was also named MVP. The Elite 11 coaches said he reminded them of Aaron Rodgers. Not the worst comparison I've seen.
Feels like UT may finally be getting their QB house in order after six long years in the desert.
Scout saying the staff was impressed with 2018 OL Ylijaah Hall of Bryan at camp yesterday.

Wow.
I actually thought we had a chance with him, glad he did not choose us and crush my ill-conceived fantasy.
How the can you not qualify for Alabama as a football player?
Higdon on today's workout:
LOVE what I am hearing about today. In particular the FR DL players. Those guys have NFL type bodies..they are not 300 and sloppy as some were thinking/suggesting. This is one OF A GROUP of DL and yes it was day 1 workout but if today is ANY indication of what this group can do they are going to terrorize the big 12 for the next couple of years. Also, Okafor looks like an NFL tackle already...from top to bottom this is one physically impressive class! I will have weights on the entire man class for Inside Access on Tuesday...
The SEC is under an NCAA microscope right now thanks to Ole Miss, so even Bama is off their usual SOP when it comes to "qualifying" players.

Parrish Cobb – Cobb’s father has been outspoken about obtaining his son’s release, and rightly so since it was promised to him on the condition of a meeting with new Baylor coach Jim Grobe. The word last week was that Cobb would be headed to Oklahoma once he was released, but I was told yesterday that Texas is back in play, and Cobb is starting to warm to the idea. The reason I’m told, is that some of the incoming freshmen are doing their best sales pitch to get Cobb to Austin. I was told Brandon Jones is leading the charge to land Cobb, along with his cousin Eric Cuffee. Combine that with Cobb’s reported love for Clay Jennings, and Texas might be able to secure themselves the best pure cover corner from last year’s class.

24/7 says a top 2017 target was on campus to visit with the coaches last week, but wants to remain anonymous.
The staff apparently feels great about where they stand.
Alabama has offered 2018 LB Bumper Pool of Lucas Lovejoy.
Scout says he plans on visiting UT this summer.

Rumor is that it's JK Dobbins.
My first guess as well considering it's been said for months that he'd try to visit UT without being noticed.
If it's not Dobbins, you would think it's a committed prospect otherwise there's no need to fly under the radar.
