ing awesome news.
Orangebloods is reporting this too!!!
UPDATE (7:31 pm): I just spoke with Erick Fowler. He let me know that he did receive his test scores today. He said he spoke to Texas today and based on those conversations he believes he is “good to go”. Fowler said that all that remains for him to do is to submit his final transcript to UT along with his test score. He noted that after hearing about his scores the Texas coaches were excited and expressed as much to him.
Fowler said he’s hopeful that he will be able to report sometime before the second summer session begins. All this comes straight from Erick so it certainly gives fans reason to feel optimistic. However, I would caution our readers to keep in mind that we have no access to any academic information so we are not able to independently verify anything. Additionally, we all saw what happened last year in the Lampkin situation.
There is reason to be optimistic but I’d save the confetti until the star linebacker is on campus. – (Super K)
Hearing good news on Southall coming out now too. Gerry Hamilton reporting.

Quotes from DE Erick Fowler (OrangeBloods):
"I got them back. They (UT coaches) called me with good news, saying I did a lot better," Fowler said. "I have to bring my official transcript up there tomorrow. They'll let me know for sure then, but they said I did really well on the test."
"They called me with the good news about an hour ago. They were excited."
"I'm very relieved. I'm just ready to play and get to working, ready to get on campus," Fowler said.
Is Fowler expected to play DE or LB for Texas?

No.
He is announcing tammaroww
I am a horrible speller but gotta say some words ,misspelled, just look wrong immediately. Maybe he is a math wiz so we don't have to worry about SATs. It just seems like these kids, so athletically gifted, would be made aware of academics by now. No pass no play was a big step. But someone has to help these kids understand. A situation like the Spanish class and credits should never happen IMO.
Sorry for the mini rant. I guess the chronology of worrying about SAT scores and blatant errors struck my fat head the wrong way. And he did use a number of extra "y's" in his own name so I might be missing the joke.
evangelical hypocrites lost their principles once they realized the all their players and recruits were leaving.
Uh, they never had any principles to begin with.
Random notes...
-DT Juan Harris of West Union, IA, relative of Tommie, de-committed from Iowa for the THIRD time. He was offered last June when he made a trip to campus.
-S Daniel Wright of Fort Lauderdale, FL has committed to Florida State.
Inside Texas says JUCO CB Jhavonte Dean of Blinn visited UT last week.
He's currently picking up some big offers, including Alabama.

AUSTIN, Texas -- Fired Baylor coach Art Briles is ripping his former employer, accusing the school of wrongful termination and indicating he has no interest in settling a federal lawsuit filed against him and the university by a woman who was raped by a football player.
In a motion filed Thursday as part of the lawsuit. Briles said he wants a judge to assign him new counsel, and his personal attorney, Ernest Cannon, said the school was using the coach as a scapegoat for its failings in handling allegations of sexual assault.
I don't suspect he is coming back after suing Baylor.
Not enough popcorn for this Baylor drama.
I know nothing about law, but supposedly Briles' lawyer is a pitbull.

OrangeBloods has confirmed that DE Robert Beal of IMG in Florida will be visiting UT on Monday.
Because it appears Baylor, Briles, and even the Waco Police did a bit of "nudge, nudge, wink, wink," the plethora of law suits could be very damaging. Baylor University could be paying some hefty money, God Bless them. The same lawyers that probably helped keep Briles and Baylor going before last season even began, the possible "let's get our story's straight" might be really bad for Baylor now that Briles has got his attorney. And all the girls involved... what a mess...
Definitely popcorn worthy, lots o butter.
Not a law guy either, glad I'm not. I would rather watch it unfold than have to figure it out.
