2018 QB Tanner Mordecai (Waco Midway)
Xavier Newman with a pancake finish to Marvin Wilson.
Soooooooo he wasn't struggling after all?
Ehlinger threw a pick six on his first throw of the game and failed to toss any touchdowns. Most of his passes were on short routes. He hit a couple of intermediate routes but didn't produce any big plays. Ehlinger had an opportunity to lead his team on a game-winning drive, but Fly Rush fell short in a 13-6 loss.Ehlinger couldn't get much going in the third game of the tournament. He threw a short TD with no interceptions.
The 2018 DB class is stupid good! So much talent both at CB and S. I really hope Texas takes a small DB class in 2017 and then loads up in 2018.
24/7 ranks Sam Ehlinger as the 7th best QB on Saturday.
Catching Up With Omar Manning (By Daniel Seahorn)

From HornSports:
Was able to catch up with Marvin Wilson, K'Lavon Chaisson, and Xavier Newman today.
Starting to get a good feeling about Wilson and Texas. If Texas can show progress on the field then they will be right in the hunt for his signature.
Texas is making their way up Chaisson's list, I wouldn't count them out just yet.
Jeff Howe: Tidbits on several Texas (2018) targets from the Deion Sanders Prime21 camp
The talent from the state of Louisiana at this event was nuts. Looks to be a great year at WR and DB in Da Boot in 2018. LSU CB commit Kelvin Joseph is going to be our MVP from the camp, but Al Blades Jr. was extremely impressive. Definitely brought some skill and some South Florida swagger to the field today. We'll have more from this event, but understand that Spencer Sanders and Tanner Mordecai are two guys I'm told Texas likes a lot at quarterback. Both looked the part today with Sanders taking home the QB MVP honors. I'm not certain Jalen Mayden will be in that mix. I think Sanders and Mordecai are standing out at this time. Sanders has some JT Barrett in him from personality/intangibles standpoint.

I believe today will be the 7on 7 championship games so Ehlinger will get another shot to get on the field and make some improvements.
