It is July but it's over with Okudah. Hope that it doesn't impact Browning.

Don't know that anything ever got going between Texas and Okudah. I won't ever doubt Charlie Strong or his staff after the miraculous finish he pulled off with this last class. We just barely inked the class of 2016, no need to be concerned this early for the 2017 crop. As for the Texas recruits committed to Iowa, I like another poster can't see them sticking until NSD. A guy like Benjamin I could see him honoring his commitment if Texas doesn't come hard after him but the others I'm not so sure Iowa just isn't a place holder for the time being.
Based off Okudah's list, just seems like a kid that wants out of Texas. Can't win them all.
Who needs an ace recruiter on staff when you have one on the team in Malik Jefferson...
I want Walker Little and a slimmer Marvin Wilson.
This is what I want next year.
Holy , Texas cleaned up with the Baylor situation. One Big 12 program's mass rape coverup is another's path to a retroactive top 5 class.![]()
Texas leading in recent and total CB's for PJ Washington, Matt Coleman and Charles O'Bannon Jr. That's 3 ESPN 5-stars.
Nice quote from a Houston area coach (24/7):
“I really want Charlie Strong to win. I’m worried that if they don’t win more than six or seven games there will be some people who want him out. I hope that doesn’t happen. He’s changed the culture at Texas for the better. I like the staff he’s got over there. If he starts winning it’s over. They’re already getting some serious ballers and if they win there’s no way A&M, TCU or anybody else will be able to catch them. It’s better for us as a state when Texas is good. I just hope Coach Strong gets a fair chance to finish what he started because it’s about to be real good over there.”
24/7 reporting the two 2018 QBs UT is focusing on going into the fall are Spencer Sanders of Denton Ryan and Tanner Mordecai of Waco Midway.

Last year we had some incredibly ugly losses. I think Strong can get away with 6 or 7 wins if we are compe ive in the losses. Also improving thru the season is big. So closer losses to good teams early coupled with a late winnin record would also help.
This is what scares me about ND. They seem to start well and fade a bit. Their schedule may dictate this as they had/have Stanford and USC late.
24/7 saying they're hearing up to four names now that could take a medical redshirt, transfer or retire before fall camp starts.
It's possible UT is adding a graduate transfer kicker, so the extra scholarships could be needed.
Competetion in one State is huge. LSU, Alabama, can cherry pick the best. Oklahoma, TCU, Baylor, ATM all huge compe ion. We were lucky we were after and close to getting the same kids as Baylor. And then you got TTU and OK St. picking off very good kids as well. Baylor now relegated opens things up a bit for the future hopefully. I did not wish ill upon Baylor until, obstinate denial and obvious delaying, were their tactics on cleaning up.
A few more additions to UTL, per 24/7...
2018
WR, Kalon Barnes, Silsbee
WR, Brennan Eagles, Alief Taylor
WR, Treveon Johnson, Giddings
Go right ahead.
Paterno knew in 1976
Witness/victim just testified he approached Paterno explained what had happened and Paterno said I don't want to hear about that stuff and walked away. This is in an insurance suit in which PSU is trying to get $
1976...
Paterno has lied. Not only did he claim to kick stuff up to superiors so it was out of his control, he lied. He knew about Sandusky for a long, long time.
Penn State football fans are the real victims...
Yeah because a few losing seasons is so much worse than children being molested by adults.
5* pj washington
Considered the nation’s 16th-best recruit in the 2017 class, Washington said he’s considering the Longhorns and will make an official visit to Austin this fall. On Tuesday, he listed his top schools as Texas, Arizona, Kentucky and North Carolina.
