54-year old Brett Brown speaking on today's NBA:
I think that history's gonna end up judging him as one of the great scorers, one of the great backcourt guards of all time. I can't see why they wouldn't. The defense has never been better. The scouting has never been better. The athletes have never been better. And the attention he receives has never been higher. Yet you can't do much about it. I can't see why that might not continue for a while. He's not old. I think we're all going to look back and say, "Wow he's really quite special."

I dont know how anyone with a brain refuse to aknowledge modeb ball superiority. Training is much better, talent pool is bigger, "nutrition" is better, schemes are better, etc...
Pretty much we are just mocking the OP's hatred of anything 90's related.

2 pluses for the 90's. If tumblr, facebook, and twitter were wiped off the face of the Earth, I don't think anyone but teenage girls would cry (which is funny, since grown men typically act like teenage girls on social media). The message board is the apex of "social media" and we had those in the 90's.
I'm a hi-fi nerd, and my God, does streaming media from a smart phone sound like (this also has a lot to do with mastering techniques modern record companies employ to make their music catchier on the radio).
And Beats. Total .
Its more difficult defending in this area due to the expanded three-point line causing more spacing and change in rules regarding contact. Anyone thinking that defense in this area is better is making up stuff. Its better for the game overall, but defense was more prevalent in the 90s and early 2000s.
That X-Men cartoon was one of the best.
WWF in the mid to late 90s with Stone Cold, Shawn Michaels, Undertaker, Hitman was a great area.
Were your Tigers even relevant in the 90s? Probably better than the 90s Royals, but most of the AL Central was shat on by the Indians.

REWIND!
Defense share
Most definitely it better. Rule changes that promote ball movement actually make for way easier offenses.
