looking forward to Yen kicking ass with that staff
I was hoping Yen would be Kanan from SW Rebels
By the way, Lawrence Fishburne is playing this (older) Clone Wars character
Not me. He feels way outta place.
that's Forest Whitaker
I'm not racist I swear
He does look pretty crusty tbh
It has also been confirmed that Jimmy Smits is returning as Bail Organa
Going tonight

Just finished the movie. That scene was worth the wait
Milking ze cow.
I thoroughly enjoyed it. Old school feel throughout.
Awesome movie. Loved it. Better than Force Awakens for sure.
Can't wait for 6 weeks from now when all the hipsters and contrarians and South Park writers start talking about how it's an overrated piece of .
Going to see this tomorrow...
When det lightsaber lit up though...
Nerdlings,
Other then the SFX is there much of a plot?
The acting could only get better from the last one.
Did this new one at least reach "average"?

Dat CGI throughout
After spending theatre cash on the pos Force Awakens, I'll be waiting to watch Rogue at home
They need to rework some of the dialogue for A New Hope:
LEIA: "I am a member of the Imperial Senate on a diplomatic mission to Alderaan."
VADER: " I JUST SAW YOU LEAVING SCARIF."
The first Vader scene was cool but basically just fan service since it wasn't really crucial to the plot. Krennic shows up just for Vader to tell him to stop ing up basically and mind his manners. Vader gives that bad pun and the scene's over. Served no point toward the plot, but I'm not complaining. It was cool to see Vader again and I'm blown away they used Ralph McQuarrie's original concept art for his castle and it's on Mustafar.
***Spoiler***
I was super excited when I heard Vader was in it.
His first scene was nice and had a great feel, but wow James Earl Jones just ain't got it anymore. It sounded like he could only get every other word out recording his takes and they had to splice all the dialogue together to make coherent sentences. He sounded like a Filipino doing a horrible impression of Vader. Not his fault though, he's like 85 years old. It really took me out of the scene.
They could easily found a replacement for his voice. And that ties in to some of the problems I had with the movie. The CGI humans, unforgivable. We get it, you're trying to tie it all in, but dammit, the original starwars is 40 yrs old! People would understand and forgive the film makers for using replacement people. The fact that they went CGI is just completely unacceptable.
With that said, Vader's 45 sec scene at the end practically make the whole thing worth it.
