Good. I honestly think he is the smartest public official I've ever heard speak. Made the senators look like the road in on the short bus.
John Roberts confirmed by Senate as 17th Chief Justice of the United States.

Nothing wrong with riding the short bus.
If this is a victory for the rich and fascist, and a defeat for women, all those who like porn, and the working poor, then why does W look like at the Robert's confirmation proceedings?
Even Dubya gets constipated which isn't surprising since he's full of it.
Sounds like a sore loozer to me.. duh dhudhdhdhdhdhdh
Bumbling around with nothing of value to say about the subject.. so just throw a in out there..
Wow your about 10 IQ points higher than a 2 week old texas piece of horse .
How are you looking today Dan?
Mr. Chief Justice Roberts is exceedingly well-qualified to hold that position. Though I disagree with what I understand his politics to be, I cannot find any quarrel with either his pedigree or his ability.
It's interesting to see that he was sworn in by Justice Stevens. I hadn't thought about who would do that ceremony, but it makes sense that the most senior associate justice would be the best qualified to do it, since until the new Chief takes the oath, the most senior associate justice is the highest ranking judicial officer in the land.
And your response clearly shows your low IQ you bumbling looser.
looser? Don't you mean "loser"? You're proving Vashner right!
I being sarcastic...he spelled it "loozer"...doesn't take much to get you to guffaw!
Brahahahahahahahaha!!!!
I think Roberts will become a swing vote and probably won't make anybody happy how he judges upcoming cases. Any cases that get to the Supreme Court are by definition difficult and/or controversial to judge.
So, do you have any opinion of Roberts' swearing in today? I being interested in hearing it.
So Bush's 1st pick for the Supreme Court breezes through the Senate, is Chief Justice to boot and that's a bad day for Bush?
Perhaps Roberts follows in the vein of Kennedy and O'Connor and charts a conservative course with a moderate bent. Maybe he fulfills Leahy and Teddy K's wet dream and turns into another Souter. But maybe, just maybe, Roberts is savvy and cunning enough to be another Rehnquist. For the next 30 years.
Nobody is saying it's a bad day for W, for Tom Delay? Probably, but W really looks like he's gotta go potty again.
I'm sure when Rove and his gestapo interviewed Roberts before his nomination, old Johnny kept his opinion to himself on cases that haven't been tried before the court, just like he did during his confirmation hearing - NOT!
NBAdan = owned on Roberts.
