It means that Patty is a shooting guard who has almost always been paired with Manu in the second squad's line-up. He would bring the ball up and then give it to Manu. Manu would run the offensive sets. Patty is great and I don't want to take away from his contribution, but my point is that his contribution is a fast paced bunny and can get his three point shot off in less than a heartbeat. But when it comes to running the Spurs' rather complicated offensive sets, he really needs to be with a playmaker. He is a shooter, and a good one, for the most part, but the role of point guard is not his strength.

What complicated offensive set can't Patty run? Enlighten me.
