Me too, too many people dismissing the Thunder. It's gonna be a long series and a bit of a coin toss.
Meh, Spurs won 67 games this year. Don't see this series being as tough as everyone is making it out to be. I'll take Spurs in 5.

Series starts Saturday.
Charles just picked OKC to beat us.I'm feeling good about our chances now.
Spurs in 5 tbh
Charles Barkley going with OKC winning the series. "OKC's big men will wear out the Spurs' bigs"
He didn't seem too sure about it also, Kenny and Shaq seemed confident in choosing the Spurs. Don't think their bigs will give us much of a problem as he claim they will. Ibaka just stands at the 3 point line now, I don't think he is much of a threat under Donavan now.
Outside of the 2014 team that was on a mission, OKC has always been the Spurs' kryptonite = Lanky, tall, athletic players always give the Spurs trouble.
Just watched OKC post game interviews after Mavs elimination, Westbrook and KD are salty as . Mad at Cuban and Charlie V,.
Ibaka isn't the same defensive force, andhas something for his ass. It won't be easy but I like our chances. I think we have the clear coaching/ mental toughness advantage. Unlike some years when it might be said the Thunderefs had the three best players in the match-up, not anymore. In fact the Spurs can boast 2 of the top ten players in the league on their roster along with the OG big 3.
This will be an exciting series. We are going to see how much Kawhi has grown as a player. Also we'll see if Lamarcus can play at a high level in a pressure type of series.
I don't think OKC is as good as year's past. I actually would be more worried if Brooks was their coach tbh. I don't think Donavan can use Ibaka effectively to be able to take advantage of his midrange game like Brooks did. Also Spurs didn't have one anyone as athletic and long enough like Aldridge to be able to come out on Ibaka and have the recovery speed to keep up with him. I hope Aldridge plays 40 MPG, and the other minutes can be played by Boban when Westbrook rests also.
Put Green on Westbrook and Leonard on Durant and we're good, as long as the refs don't baby them. Duncan will outsmart caveman Adams and Ibaka will have trouble with Aldridge. Plus if Patty continues to shoot well the bench will have a good advantage. I can see Boban getting some minutes just to guard Kanter, cause West and Diaw can't guard him. Can't say I think the Spurs will lose by any means, but I also don't think it'll be easy. Spurs should win but OKC will make it difficult.
Well the main thing that worries me about OKC is rebounding. I feel like they will kill us on the boards and get so many second chance opportunities.
Also they don't have Spur Killers Harden or Jackson on that team. They have Waiters. Though he did have a pretty good series against Dallas, but has been pretty bad against the Spurs this year.
Dion Waiters probably gonna be that one dude that goes off against the Spurs.
And Derek Fisher. I know he was pretty much done in his final year with OKC but he always had a psychological edge over them.
If so, they deserve to win the series tbh![]()
Forgot about him! I swear he never missed against us in that 2012 series, and missed one like one 3 in that 2014 series. He always seemed to make a big shot when momentum was going our way.
Ibak's defense, although always overrated ks even worse this year. Feels like hes fallen off a cliff. He just doesnt look as athletoc anymore. Hes also not as enthusiastic with his team compared to years past.
ChewBacka has been pushed out of the paint by Donovan/Stretch 4s. He has ALWAYS been a mediocre post defender so Pop should pound the ball to LMA.

My four keys to victory against them:
1. REBOUND! Duncan and Aldridge do a pretty good job rebounding when they're both on the floor together. Z BO did out muscle Aldridge on a lot of rebounds last series, I don't think Ibaka has knack of being physical and rebounding like he did. Everyone needs to rebound on the defensive end, that seemed to hurt Dallas this series and when they rebounded well they gave themselves a chance even if they didn't have the talent.
2. Keep them off the free throw line. Spurs do a pretty good job of keeping teams off the line so I hope it continues. I hope Pop sends an early message to the refs about all the cheap fouls they get. I think refs seriously do get intimidated by Pop, he seems a lot more moodier lately so I'm pretty sure Spurs could have an advantage there.
3. Knock down shots. The Thunder gave up a lot of open shots to Dallas especially in the mid range game, and three where Spurs are at their best. Spurs shot really well against the Grizzlies when they were given those open shots, and knocked down those shots on the road against a better perimeter defenders in Memphis which is encouraging and could be critical. If we move the ball well we are going to give the Thunder a lot of problems on offense depending on the lineups Pop puts out.
4. Energy and hustle needs to be there early. If so they will be there every game. I would like to see the Spurs to crowd Durant and Westbrook at times and make other guys try to beat us especially if they're on. Most likely in situations that we are down by 10 or so, and can't catch a break on defense. I think the Spurs can go at least ten deep in this series, and probably will so they should have the energy.
Fisher shot .372 FG and .263 3P against the Spurs in 2012.
KD was pretty meh against Dallas. Pretty sure Wing Stop won't be easier for him.
I've noticed that also, he doesn't seem like he cares anymore or he's not happy with something out there. Yeah if Durant leaves, I think he will be out of there via trade, or he will walk in free agency the following season.
