If GSW traded Thompson for Kawhi, they beat Cavs. Kawhi would make all the difference against Lebron.
Kawhi's not better than Lebron, but he's way ing better than Thompson.
His ceiling is way higher IMO.

Thompson was the 3rd best 2-way player in the series, tbh
I don't understand why people say his defense is stellar, its just as average as it can get from what I saw in the playoffs. Not to mention any finishing around the rim he has is just him either throwing it up there or getting open because of a screen from a teammate, or a back cut; he can't create on his own when driving (again, in the playoffs).
If Klay is the best two way player, then how did Lebron damn near average a triple double on 30 ppg for the entire series?
Any scorer who plays defense is automatically put on a pedestal, that's the reason why Kirby has a record 9 All-NBA 1st team defense honors.
Klay is a decent defender. The nba makes klay and draymond great defenders by allowing them to handcheck, grab, etc.
Easy to contain penetration and be a great defender if your given a green light to foul most of the time
If kawhi got that kind of leeway and respect from refs he would be on some next level on defense
