The Spurs now have a new strategy: Leak to the press that the Spurs are considering going after another team's player so that the team freaks out and massively overpays the player to get him to stay, thus ruining their team.
Without looking at the stats, I'd assume TP has outplayed him most times since that 2011 series?

Spurs as a whole since 2011 have just seemed to love playing that team overall. They have won 2 games since then regular season and playoffs.

Conley crossing 30 years old...I think he plays well enough for the next two years, but he'll be like every other point guard. Once they turn 32/33, they just lose a few steps and they can't dominate games anymore. I think Spurs were wise to pull back, especially at that salary.

Woj is reporting a fracture in the back vertebrate.. The Grizz were really mad incompetent by doubling down and signing an even more overrated, injury-prone player to a max deal (Parsons)-- that without even knowing if Marc Gasol would have fully healed from his broken foot..
I can't remember a team making their bed in an offseason worse than they have done past summer..
Grizz should have signed Harrison Barnes instead of Parsons..It is amazing how the latter got his max deal while finishing his past two seasons on the shelf...Dude should have been given the Ezeli FA treatment..
feel for him to but that guaranteed contract has to help ease the pain.
Man, reading things like that just make me appreciate Parker's mediocre play and his contract even more.
Don't ever bring in a guy that heavily relies on advanced statistics like John Hollinger to run your franchise. Just look at Houston and Daryl Morey.

Conley himself has lower extremity issues so he is on his way to aging like Porker.
George Hill at half his salary next year will look like huge bargain by comparison..Dude hasn't been able to stay healthy for 2 straight months the past 2 seasons, it should have raised a red flag to the Grizz and other suitors..
