Don't know about any of these guys. Haven't seen any college games this year. But I get the feeling they see the want-to, desire, passion and physical tools, at least to some degree, they saw in Kawhi.

I support the pick. Manu will be gone soon, definitely need someone to throw it into the fifth row.

Pretty much says we are riding out Parker's contract while slowly bringing this kid along. I doubt we go after Conley now. I think it's Durant or Gasol. Most likely Gasol.

    Parker/ mills/ Murray
    Green/ Simmons/????
    Leonard/ Anderson/ Bertans
    Aldridge/ Livio/????
    Gasol/ marjanovich/ Milutinov

    Imo...

He has great length and size along with pretty good athleticism as well. Needs to fill out though. People forget Kawhi was an awful shooter when he arrived. Maybe they see a great work ethic in this kid and think they can improve his jumper.
    Agree.

If he has the work ethic, Spurs have the tools in spades to

    fix his shooting.

    Great pick Spurs.

He knows this to be true. He's gonna be the backup PG this season. Will be starting by year 3/playing most of the minutes. He'll be our second best player in 2020, I'm calling it.

    Starter first year?
I can't see it bc he is really not ready. His decision making is still . He might get on Pop's yell-a-thon! But who knows? We certainly have an aging backcourt.
Hopefully Pop tries to find some guys in FA too.

I'm liking this pick more and more. Only 19 years old (same age as Parker when we drafted him). Has tons of talent. Great pick tbh.
same here. From the few things I've seen, seems like a good character guy as well. Should fit into the system and develop nicely.

Rather have him for the future than Conley.

DeJounte Murray | PG | Washington
    Freshman | 19 | 6-5, 170
The lowdown: Wiry combo guard with interesting long-term potential. Didn't have an overly efficient season, but flashed the ability to get to the rim with his creative ball-handling, instincts as a scorer and impressive vision as a passer. Loves to freelance off the dribble. Consistency as a shooter and decision-making leave a lot to be desired at this stage. Far from a finished product, but has some very interesting potential on both ends.
    Grade: B+

19 year old people. Kid has ridiculous potential. Spurs are going after Conley, this kid will be great second unit fodder with lottery upside. His shot can easily be molded at that age, and his height allows him to pass over people much easier. Love the pick. Got to take chances here to stay compe ive long term.

The San Antonio Spurs select Washington PG DeJounte Murray with the No. 29 pick. Steal of the draft. He was ranked No. 9 on my final Big Board bling, athletic and a great feel. If his shooting improves he could be the best PG in the draft. He could be an All-Star someday. Seriously. Typical Spurs. They got a lottery pick at 29.
I knew media would be saying this . Every year, same thing. Do they read from a script and just insert the draftee's name?

Like the pick tbh. Spurs desperately need penetration and he shows the potential to be a great facilitator.

Take this for what its worth: I haven't seen a Mock Draft yet that didn't have Murray as a Top 14 pick.

That's just it, he's that rare guy (like Kawhi) who is athletic and and has work ethic (and humility).

Guys like that literally can't miss in the Spurs system.
