Spurstalk has hated ty shooting guards for years. Not sure why so many people have hope for Murray. White is the only young player on the team that I am excited to watch going forward. Can't wait to see him dominate summer league.

His defense is good. Nothing special like his rebounding. He will get a better feel for the game with his age that will hopefully cut down on decision making mistaked. He will be a good player in the NBA for a while if he will learn how to shoot. I'm excited about Derrick White though as mentioned...

Starting converting in the paint at a higher % ( above league avg at 64%).
And also started taking and making jumpers ( 36% from midrange, 41% in corner 3s).

Yup. There's probably without a doubt countless young black, hispanic, white kids in america and around the world washing dishes at your local hooters and working in construction who are better athletes and shooters than lonzo and Murray. But due to politics, cir stances due to $, bad parents, didn't get the opportunities to even try out. Hasn't the professor beaten nba, international players 1 on 1?
I don't see the requisite off the dribble dynamism to be more than a secondary ball handler/play maker. They should be viewing him as their version of Smart/Exum, which means graduating from non to at least bad and willing 3-point shooter.
In the event Leonard is retained, Evans should be the obvious target. Instead, they'll probably hope Murray can be more, likely give Parker a loyalty contract and with either Ginobili returning or White waiting in the wings, think they have enough guards who can create and look to sign a 3 and D type, if they sign one at all.
