Think your not getting it. In otherwords the FO is telling Dejounte to do what he does best and incorporate it into the Spurs system. Which is smart because otherwise you will screw the dudes confidence and natural feel of the game if you try to completely try to reinvent him into something he is not. Smart player development if you ask me...
No one is telling him not to be a system player, but to infuse what he does best into the Spurs system.
