Doesn't much look like Patty, but what do you expect? He's Boris' successor.

Forbes hitting clutch free throws... he may not be spurs material
Forbes is a very nice additional 3 pt. shooter. Look out Patty.
He's more like Jalen Rose.![]()

Definitely jumpshots not falling. Kyle started hot but faded at the end and the hustle wasn't there. Simmons TO machine most of the game unfortunately.
Win but ugly win.

23 pts. on just 10 shots for Forbes. Impressive.
Simmons can't play if he is going to be a turnover machine. That's been his problem since joinging the Spurs. Can score but can't think his way out of tight spots.
Luke Walton![]()
Assy 4th but overall the Spurs have more talent then they had last year in the Summer League.
Simmons looked good overall, but those turnovers were a deal breaker. Kyle also looked like a legit NBA player though he also crapped the bed in the 4th.
Forbes is an amazing shooter. I didn't love his ball handling and, like every rookie, defense is a question mark. He has the Steph Curry thing where you almost expect every shot to fall and when it doesn't it's surprising.
I also like Arci's game, he reminds me of Andre Miller. Like Forbes, defense is going to be the hardest adjustment. It's interesting to watch him try and figure out the speed of the game with his passing. He had two bad turnovers, but overall, he can be trusted with the ball.
Thanks for posting that. Is Lorbek really hurt (there were reports of a calf injury last night) or is that just staggering minutes/opportunity in SL?
Didn't play for 2 years because of injuries. Got a shot at making an NBA roster... Gets hurt in warmups
I didn't take the guy seriously as soon as I googled him lol.
Was mings the PG on the floor spelling Arcidiacono?
Yeah, we could use a playmaking big off the bench. Sounds like he's done. Hope I'm wrong.
That's one of a line for Simmons, if not for all those TO's. That could cost him a career.
Caveat: the fugly parts of this game I only saw from the kitchen, so I only caught glimpses of the game in the second half. The real ugly half. But I do think he was the guard off the bench.
It's summer league. He's supposed to be pushing limits and testing things out. Where else will he get the experience from? He's on the team, going nowhere. Sure he has free reign to go wild and figure it out.
The ugly parts of the game were the only parts I saw. Only tuned in when we were up by 23. mings showed some nice court vision. Made a couple of nice passes. Forbes hit a big shot to stem the Philly flow and made some clutch free throws. Even in SL I like to see guys who want to finish strong and win. If you can't hit clutch free throws in SL, you probably got no chance in the regular season. I think we know who our backcourt candidates are - except our newest acquisition Olivier Hanlan. I am eager to see a big or two in the next league. Our cupboard is very bare at the moment.
He's a little manu-esque in his drive and kicks. You never know where the pass is going to cone from.
Plus he is on a team where guys don't quite know their spots.
When he sticks to his strengths, he's a stud. The parts where he tried to expand his game is when he did out of character things getting too wild with errant passes and forcing things too much and out of control. I can't imagine him being so ball dominant in the pros however, which could control his TO and his play.
