I'm not sold on Simmons. If he continues to have statistically dominant SL showings, I'd explore moving him for a future pick. He's not enough of a shooter, to my mind. However, he can get to the bucket. Warriors will not have much, if any, rim protection and Parker can't exploit those holes anymore. But can Simmons be trusted not to give possessions to the other team?
If he's not good enough to stay on the Spurs, why do you think he's worth a pick from another team?

If he could just develop his ball handling skills a couple notches higher... he could be somebody! He could be a contendah! Not a bum... a great shooting bum.

He looks alot more ready than Murray. Murray can't shoot and may be a liability in offense. I expect Murray to be with Austin most of the year.

So maybe Forbes gets to play in the regular rotation.

If he can continue to shoot the way he's been? s yeah! Murray is going to need some years. That's obvious. Forbes' shot looks ready now.

Bryn Forbes could be the next Gary Neal. I hope he's not gonna be a liability on defence too
His defense has been outstanding through two games.

Many other teams will go "Oooh, 35 points" and not notice the nine turnovers.

I can see it. I also agree with whoever posted earlier that some of his TO's can be attributed to players being completely out of sync and him trying to expand his gameat the same time, mistakes be damned in the SL.

I'm going to need to watch the game again to look at that and see where the blame can truly be placed, if it can be...

I wish I could agree. I know one was a bull moving screen call, but most of them were just not taking care of the ball. There were a couple of times in the first game that he and Kyle were instructing people on where to be, but Simmons is not passing to spots, he's getting too deep and leaving his feet or dribbling into traffic, slnging the ball around. The worst part is how many turned into a layup attempt on the other end. He had some spectacular blocks in the game, and I think every one of them was following one of his own turnovers.

But this is his time to make mistakes. I have no real problem with him just using these games to get some rhythm. If he's still turning the ball over like this in Vegas, it might become a concern. I'm sure Pop doesn't believe there's any excuse for having 13 turnovers in two games.

Forbes has a nice quick fluid shot. Moves well on the offensive end of the court. Was watching this game and last night's game off my phone while at work so couldn't focus on how well he handled himself on Defense. Seems like he is working himself a solid shot on being on the upcoming seasons roster.

No argument. Those are pretty damning. Well... glad I'm not a Simmons groupie.

He looks scrappy. It will be better to judge when he's up against some of the big leaguers.

Wow.... finally he's shooting those 3's without hesitation. If he's doing that, we don't need Diaw who hasn't stopped hesitating.
Much quicker release too. He made a couple last game too. The highlights are a few pages back. Definite improvement. This part of his game will translate anywhere. Might look like a MIP candidate with increased role, and improvement in his shooting, which would be great for the Spurs bc they need him scoring. Diaw and West were unable to pull any bigs from the paint. Here's to wishing him a good season.

I really like him, but the expectations are higher for him and Kyle since they're going to be expected to produce. Those kinds of mistakes turn into runs that lose games on the big team.

Wonder if he comes off the bench or starts. Would love to see him with juice, slowmo, baby splash and whoever wants to be the five.

I have to say, of the two, I like Kyle better. Especially with this quicker, confident release he's been displaying. He plays more in control and you know one of Pop's favorite sayings: The team that makes the least mistakes, wins.

I hope Kyle jumps out to a great string of games at the beginning of the season to build his confidence to keep doing what he's doing here. He could be a very unique player and a potential mismatch on many positions at different times in a game.

Throw Boban in there and you would be looking at 40 point obliterations.
