Thank you Tim.
I feel like the game of basketball is leaving.![]()
Im sad but its only because I had it so good for so long. Thank you Timmy, may your retirement continue to be as satisfying as your playing days were.<--- Tim Duncan
Because we know one of the two is all about him and the hype, and media is quick to knobslob over that, especially the old media types.
I'm not saying Kobe doesn't deserve his induction or that he shouldn't do his media circus thing.
All I'm saying is that Tim (and perhaps Manu) deserve their moment in the spotlight on their own, even if they generally shun that.
But perhaps Harlem is right, and the big contrast will make for a bigger appreciation.
I was responding to ElNono mentioning Kobe, relax, bro..
If you picking a team, who else would you want to start with but TD?
He should be the new logo.
GOAT
Tengo sadness, mucho sadness.
And the Goldenstate Warriors are in talks to sign Tim Duncan as an assistant coach. Wouldn't surprise me if they contacted him.
Jefferson talking about Timmy on Sportscenter... Lol.
I know ...meant to direct that his way not yours ...
That class will be nice tbh.
On par with MJ/stockton/David (IIRC)
Well said.
I'm a random 30yrs old Italian Guy, brought to NBA thanks to Mr Fundamental...I was inspired from Timmy my whole life, i started playing bball @ 11yo watching this big man...I feel i'm gonna broke few tears for all the memories. Thanks you so much, my Hero.
Simply Legend
Ciao Tim. Grazie.
Adios Amigo.

Thanks for all the memories.
The original Big 3 has been dismantled.
I guess the new Big 3 is Kawhi, Aldridge, and Pau.
Well damn....I don't want to believe it....but we all knew it was coming at some point. I was 9 years old when he was drafted...I'm 28 now. I literally grew up watching this guy bring greatness not only to San Antonio...but South Texas (I'm from Del Rio). My favorite # growing up was #21 and I wore my Duncan jersey to school proudly (Especially during Playoff time). I got picked on by non-Spurs fans when they lost, and win or lose I wore that jersey with pride, because I knew as long as we had #21 on the team, we had a chance...we had hope. It's truly been a damn honor watching you grace the court Timmy...thank you for always giving this team, this city your all!
In fact he was bored of all his rivals retiring this year : Kobe, Garnett, Joey Crawford![]()
"If you combined the career plus-minus totals of Ray Allen (+3,551), Dwyane Wade (+2,941), and Kevin Durant (+1,964), it would still fall short of Tim Duncan's ... by about 500 points."
Enjoy your retirement Timmy. The Spurs will never be the same without you.
Sad to see him go, Always felt he could play on forever. Always a steady force, but you could see the screws coming off the wagon this past year offensively and then physically he just failed in mid january....
Remember him coming into the league. Still remember him against the Knicks in 99 Finals. Soo many great memories. I hope he finds as much success in retirement that he found during his playing career.
Been said a thousand times, but thanks Timmy.
