Sad in day. When I first saw TD play at Wake Forest I knew he was going to be something special. I hope he doesn't just fade like David Robinson. Come back as a coach or something.

Would have selfishly preferred one more season to be more prepared and trully enjoy Tim's last season, knowing it would be the last.
Cowherd is the most talented sportstalk host today, but he's a total for not talking about Tim Duncan. It's not like he avoided basketball discussion. He talked (AGAIN) about KD to GSW and even talked about the 6ers/Lakers summer league game. But no mention of Tim Duncan's retirement announcement.
Wow, what a poor job by Cowherd.
It's over 9000 !!!!!
not sure what lefty tries to achieve in this thread
Thank you for all the great memories and championships, Timmy. Enjoy life, your children and the car shop. They'll never be a NBA athlete like you ever to touch the court, again. You aren't just the greatest power forward ever, or a top 10 all-time great but you are in the elite class of Jordan, Abdul-Jabbar, Chamberlain, and Johnson.
He's trying to achieve your attention.
just being his jerkish self... he can't help wearing the troll mantle.
would be awesome if his body started feeling better and he returned mid season for one last playoff run.
i know it's probably too much to ask for though.
On a side note, I'm happy for him. It sucks for the fans but dude has already a broken knee no need to get the other one blown up too. Tim is old for basketball but not for life, retiring too late would have meant a very painful post basketball. He is healthy, played 19 years, did his best, left with no regret...![]()
He just mentioned him and said he was boring and then went on to talk about Dwyane Wade leaving Miami. Cowturd! People like that want to rewrite history. Im boycotting him unless he wants to talk about him.
Time to start saving money for the jersey retirement night.
Those tickets are NOT going to be cheap.
Might be the last time anyone sees him on the court again.
yup
Nobody is dead, his retirement is not a big deal for humanity but this thread would just deserve to be free of that...
This is really a bittersweet day. Although I'm depressed about Timmy retiring, I'm also filled with joy knowing I got to follow a career of a legend like no other.
I really don't think it's going to hit me until opening night arrives and he is not in the starting line-up.
I really want to be at ATT the night the Spurs retire #21.
No need to get up at 4 am for a single regular season game from now...
Merci pour tout Monsieur Duncan
Special kind of player, great leader, teammate, person, amazing fundamentals, and he knew how to make his teammates better and learn how to win. A true champ! will be missed.
Kerr telling it like it is. First person I've seen today call him Top 5; most hesitated about calling him Top 10.
Also, the HEB commercials this year are going to really suck...
Those damn onions everywhere I go...
I hope the same, unfortunately it doesn't seem like a very Tim Duncan thing to do..![]()
Damn...don't have the words. Thanks TD.
