Let's try it again.
Just any random page from the Quran.
Ok, pages 388-389
Can those who enjoy such bliss be like those who abide in the Fire and are given boiling water to drink so that it tears their bowels.
I'm stopping right there. Are you kidding me?
Wow!

While God did command nations to kill, it's important to remember that he never commanded individuals to kill devoid of their representing a nation.
So no, I don't think you could say that it is legit for any single individual to claim that God commanded them to kill. On the contrary, one of the ten commandments is, "You shall not murder." (Exodus 20:13). The word that God uses for murder is different than the word that is used to mean "kill" when it is carried out in war.
So to answer your question, yes. You can deny their claim. They were not told by God to murder.
You can read more about the words used here.
This is what is written on the back cover of this Quran.
The main themes of the Quran are enlightenment, closeness to God, peace and spirituality.
Hahahahahahaha!

You explain your own disconnect, then. Since you're clearly getting hung up on something.
I'll break it down for you.
I disagree with point #1, that Islam is a murder cult.
To support the disputed claim that its a murder cult, people have presented violent verses from the Quran. I pointed out how weak that argument is, as you can find similar violent/murderous verses in the bible against nonbelievers. I don't think either of those are convincing to prove that the religions are murder cults. And if you're going to take those select quran verses as proof for the murderous cult of islam, it would only be consistent to hold those select bible versus as proof for the murderous cult of christianity.
I personally wouldn't make that leap for either religion... which is why I said I don't actually believe Christianity is a murderous cult, for the same reason I don't think Islam is.
